Summer is a great time to volunteer! If you have some free time that you would like to dedicate to helping out in the community, you are more than welcome to join us at One Bistro. We have room for teachers, students, professionals, anyone - if you have time, we have a place for you. Come and enjoy fellowship and food while serving your community. Please feel free to call or stop in if you need help or have questions.

A huge THANK YOU to our friends at Flour Bakery and Linda Waring for donating cupcakes for Community Meal. What a special treat and yummy one too!

Students from Dayton STEM School spent the day in the Bistro. They helped deep clean the café’ and our storage area. They did a great job and we look forward to partnering with them again. We know that they definitely have a bright future ahead! Thank you, Dayton STEM School!

One Bistro donates 200 box meals to the City of Xenia for Neighborhood Night Out

One Bistro board members, Denise Davis and Diane Dixon, were joined in the café by City of Xenia employees to assembled 200 sandwiches and box meals for Neighborhood Night Out at Franklin Park in Xenia. "One Bistro loves donating meals to the Neighborhood Night Out events. We love feeding our neighbors. It is One Bistro's mission and calling."

Another One Bistro board member, Linda Johannes and her husband, Rick, got the tent, table, and chairs to the park and set up for the event.

Soon after Board Member, Suzanne Booher and her husband, Larry, arrived to work the booth and share information with the crowd about One Bistro.

Steve Brodsky, Development Director for City of Xenia, said, “Thank you [One Bistro] so much for your continued partnership with the City of Xenia. We are truly stronger and better together.”

“Always wonderful food, great servers and a wonderful ministry to the hungry and homeless.”    Kenton

While we encourage volunteers to sign up online in advance, anyone may stop in during café hours to see if help is needed. Groups are also welcome to serve together. Email us and we’ll find the perfect opportunity for your group!

WE HAVE THE BEST VOLUNTEERS.

They help in so many ways!

Thank you, Kathy Lewis and Linda Sutton, for volunteering your time and talent to design and plant the beautiful flowers and greenery in our store front boxes and for providing the herb garden. We are grateful.

Thank you, Audrey Stanley, for volunteering your time and talent to refresh our cafe' chalkboard for June. We appreciate you!

Thank you to our May Community Meal VOLUNTEER groups. You make our evening so very special.

Community Meal is such a special time and we are touched by the goodness of God that shines through faithfully each week in various ways. This past month we had two different families on two different community meal nights sponsor in memory of someone who had passed. The families came and dined together at the community table and celebrated their loved one’s life. It was just beautiful. Thank you, Betsy Harner and Linda Sutton
