Our Neighbors' News

A MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

To our One Bistro Community and Neighbors:

It's an exciting season of giving back, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, and welcoming the New Year! As we enter this holiday season, One Bistro also looks forward to all God has planned for us in 2025.

The Board of Directors would like to honor and give a special THANK YOU to the 2024 retiring Board officers and members: President, Denise Davis; Treasurer, Diane Dixon; Secretary, Suzanne Booher; Board Member, Linda Johannes. It has been a gift and joy to work with each one of you. Your contributions and servant's hearts have been used by God to make One Bistro the thriving place it is today! Don’t worry, you’ll still see these ladies volunteering and dining in the bistro.

We are thrilled to announce and welcome the 2025 Board officers and members: President, Steve Brodsky; Treasurer, Sue Hunt; Secretary, Frankie Aguilar; Assistant Secretary, Val Zimmerman; Members, Troy Copley, Bryn Dean, Andrew Harris, Mary Adeline Lewis, Sarah Mays and Jordan Sok. Please celebrate with us and send along congratulations to both our outgoing and incoming Board officers and members!

Beavercreek Area Cub Scouts

"Packsgiving"

Several Beavercreek Area Cub Scout groups made these beautiful placemats for us to use at our special Christmas Community Meal as part of their "packsgiving" outreach. Aren't they cute!?!

"This is a community restaurant meaning they have volunteers run most of the jobs and serve meals to community members in need. The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere is friendly. You are able to donate a meal as well as volunteer (after some training). So please stop on by!" ~ Gabrielle Turner

We are so grateful for each of our Community Meal volunteer groups! Thank you for serving!

Steve's Story

Steve was introduced to One Bistro a few weeks ago through TCN. Required to complete a certain number of service hours, Steve found an instant connection and network of support from the team at One Bistro. After signing up to volunteer, he jumped right in to bust the suds in the dish room. He appreciates the kindness, generosity and good nature that is felt all throughout the bistro. He finds so much motivation and support from team members and volunteers and appreciates it when the manager prays with him. The food is quality and all who come in are treated equally, no matter why they are there. They are all served a delicious meal with respect.

One Bistro hosts

Ministry Association of Xenia (MAX)

One Bistro was delighted to host the November meeting for MAX. This organization is a group of local churches and ministries that meet monthly to pray and share information for the greater good of our community. A special thanks to volunteers, Olivia and Ann, who helped with preparations.

The dinner is prepared by the Greene County Career Center (GCCC) culinary students and Chef Hamdy (pictured below) and held at GCCC. One Bistro is honored to provide a meal each month to VFF as part of our Ministry Meal Program. We are also thrilled when the ladies from VFF show up and volunteer to serve in the cafe.
