Blueberry BBQ Chicken

Tired of red sauce BBQ. Try blueberries on chicken breasts.

Couldn't be easier!

2 chicken breasts

1 cup blueberries

1/4 cup apple cider1/3 cup maple syrup or 1/2 cup sugar depends on sweetness you want

small stick of cinnamon or ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon

a bay leaf

1/4 tsp salt

small chili optional

Combine blueberries, cider vinegar and sweetness, whichever you choose, in a blender.

Transfer to a sauce pan. Add cinnamon, bay leaf, salt and chili.

Bring to a boil on the stove.

Simmer until it thickens-20 minutes or so.

You can put it through a sieve if you like, but I didn't.

Grill or bake chicken breasts.

Finish with BBQ sauce and serve.

YUM!

I think it would be good on pork, too. Let me know if you try it.
