Athearn Genesis series delivered a new group EMD GP50 locomotives in a number of detail and paint variations in HO scale The EMD GP50 model was built between 1983 and 1985 with a roster of 278 locomotives. The production covered five railroads: AT&SF, BN, C&NW, MoPac, Frisco, and the Southern Railway...which also rostered the largest fleet with 90 locomotives. This production features six railroads and a number of additional paint and detail variations as you have come to expect from the Athearn Genesis line of products. Details for each model are specified below.
The GP50 models are offered in either standard DC or with Soundtraxx Tsunami DCC and Sound.
