On
World Quality Day, the
Partnership for Supply Chain Management reflects on our quality achievements, and celebrates the supply chain-, and quality professionals (including our inhouse
IRCA certified auditors) who drive and improve customer value within our organization.
Looking back, 2020 has been another defining year for PFSCM in terms of quality. Despite immense challenges caused by COVID-19, we maintained service performance, secured new business and successfully renewed our ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Our ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System assisted us in overcoming procurement and distribution challenges caused by COVID-19; and we are extremely proud to have passed another triennial audit to maintain our certification.
Further, PFSCM was contracted to procure and distribute COVID-19 diagnostics for a major global donor. Our Product Quality Policies played a key role in enabling us to navigate the new COVID-19 diagnostics suppliers, and products on the market.
Meanwhile, PFSCM's Quality Assurance unit has continued its unique supplier prequalification program to expand our pool of local suppliers. The aim of the program is to develop sources of supply closer to demand to reduce supply chain costs, and minimize the environmental impact associated with global logistics.
