Can you offer a Remote Internship Opportunity!
If your organization has a remote-based project in which an Intern could be of assistance, please reach out to the following contacts as they are in dire need of these experiences for their students:
Lackawanna College
Internships are for 3 credits, can be paid or unpaid, and will need to provide a total of 120 hours of engagement.
They have students in the following fields:
Business- (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business Communication, Problem Solving)
Human Services- ( Integrate Service Skills, Communication Strategies, Ethical/Legal Issues, Conflict Management, Working w/diverse populations, Informal/Formal supports in the community:
Cyber Security- (Operating systems, Networking, Programming, Databases, network architecture, software development, system administration)

Marywood University
Social Work- MSW Internships are for the academic year, 16 hours a week for 27 or 30 weeks.

Pike County CARES Act Funding
The Pike County Commissioners have set aside $500,000 in CARES Act funding to assist nonprofit organizations with the impact of COVID-19. Funding can be for expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic incurred between March 1 and December 30, 2020. To apply, click here.
For organizations that only need assistance with the cost of personal protective equipment including masks, gloves, and cleaning supplies, a simplified application is available here.
Applications are due on Friday, August 28.

New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) Workshops
NEPA Alliance will be submitting a second New Markets Tax Credits application requesting a $30M+ NMTC allocation from the U.S. Department of Treasury in the Fall of 2020. NMTCs are a valuable tool to finance community, private, and nonprofit revitalization efforts in eligible distressed census tracts.

You are invited to participate in a research study out of King's College (conducted by Ray Knaugh) related to nonprofit organizations and fraudulent activities. The data provided for this study will be used to complete a research project and to publish a paper in an academic journal.
