Prayer and Penance
Salutations! How are you doing? I hope that you are well. Within this Marian Month of May, it is fitting that today we celebrate the optional memorial of Our Lady of Fatima. This commemorates the appearances of Our Blessed Mother in Fatima, Portugal back in 1917 to three shepherd children named Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta. In addition to the appearances of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the kids also were privileged to see an angel. They emphasized the importance of prayer and penance to the children and by extension to all other faith-filled believers. Here are five prayers that the angel and Our Lady shared with the children to pray:
From the Angel
Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly.
I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He is offended. And through the infinite merit of His Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.
[Reparation Prayer]
My GOD, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love Thee! I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust and do not love Thee.
[Prayer of Belief, Adoration, Trust, and Love]
From Our Blessed Mother
Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
[Eucharistic Prayer]
Oh my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
[Sacrifice Prayer]
Oh My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.
[Prayed in between Mysteries of the Rosary]

Mercy with Christ,
Fr. James
