Pursuing God's Purpose and Promises For Women

Jesus said He is the "I Am" -- I AM the Bread of Life, I AM the Light of the World, I AM the Gate, I AM the Good Shepherd, I AM the Resurrection and the Life, I AM the Way the Truth and the Life, I AM the Vine. He is the Great I Am, and always will be. We pray you have a blessed April as we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection to life of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

You Have a Purpose,
My Friend
By Karla Maxwell

Easter... a time of celebration as we remember the day Jesus Christ took upon himself all of our sins, sickness, and disease, and rose again on the third day. We celebrate victory because the Lord’s enemy and our enemy was defeated. Christ showed us how we should live and treat others. The Son of God had fulfilled His purpose for coming to earth with His redeeming love, grace, and mercy.
On the day Jesus was crucified unjustly, two thieves were crucified with him; one on his right and one on his left. One hurled insults at Jesus, the other asked Jesus to remember him.
This remorseful criminal was on the brink of death, had done horrible things in his life, and yet that one sentence, that one request changed his eternity. That one answer from Christ proves as long as we have breath, we can choose an eternal life in Heaven, and also gives proof it is the desire of the Father's heart that none should perish and spend eternity in Hell.

Have you ever stopped to think about how this criminal that requested to be remembered that day was used by God for His purpose? How many people have chosen to follow Christ based on that one statement the thief made? How astonished this man will be when he sees all the people in Heaven that were impacted by his one request, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
(Luke 23:42)
We have discussed over this past year how God created us for purpose. The man next to Jesus on the cross made some bad choices in his life, yet God took those wrong choices and created something beautiful. Just as the thief, God can take the circumstances and bad choices we have made, and will make, in our own lives and turn them into something beautiful for His Glory! How many people are you impacting for Christ in your life? You will not know for sure until Jesus calls us to our home in Heaven. Make today count for the Lord.

Thank you, Father, for your mercy and grace! Thank you for sending your one and only Son to take our place for the atonement of our sins so we may have an everlasting relationship with you.

Guacamole Deviled Eggs

The egg is many times used as an example of the Holy Trinity. Like the Trinity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, an egg has three parts-- the shell, the yolk, and the white.

6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved
1 ripe avocado
1/4 red onion, minced
1/2 jalapeno, minced
1 Tbsp. finely chopped cilantro, plus more for garnish
Juice of 1 lime
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. paprika, plus more for garnish
salt and pepper to taste

  • Scoop yolks from egg whites and add to a large bowl with avocado. Mash with a fork until evenly combined, then add onion, jalapeno, cilantro, and lime juice, and stir until combined.

  • Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper

  • Using a spoon or a piping bag, add avocado mixture to egg whites. Garnish with a pinch of paprika before serving.

Promise Helpers is a non-profit Christian ministry for women that seeks to help women experience the fullness of God’s purpose and promises for them. Our desire is to bring women to a place of personal wholeness so they can bring wholeness to their marriages, homes, families and communities. Promise Helpers is women ministering to women, reminding one another of the promises of God and encouraging one another to implement those promises into their daily lives. The foundation of Promise Helpers is prayer, for apart from Jesus Christ we can do nothing.
