VALENTINE'S DAY 4 MILE
NEW DATE: FEB 21st

Greetings!

First, thank you for your understanding and support with the postponement of last Sunday's Valentine's Day 4 Mile due to the extreme and dangerous wind chills.

GREAT NEWS: We are rescheduled for this Sunday, February 21st at Washington Park.

Important Details:
  • BIBS - if you picked up your bib already, this will be the same bib you will use for this Sunday. There will not be a new advance packet pickup, so if you need to get your bib, you can do so on the event day. Please don't arrive any earlier than 30 to 35 minutes prior to your start time.
  • IF YOU SWITCHED TO VIRTUAL FROM IN-PERSON - You do not need to do anything. You will automatically be added to the in-person for the 21st. If you already did your virtual run and submitted a time, no problem, we will only count the in-person one. If you are unable to make it and still will be doing virtual, you can submit your times as instructed below.
  • IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE IT AND HAD NOT SWITCHED TO VIRTUAL - you will still be able to switch via the links and instructions at the bottom of this message.

We look forward to hosting you this Sunday (with safer weather).

BIBS AND TIMING
As a reminder, your bib is your entry into the event and other activities. You must wear it on your front and on the outermost layer of clothing you will be participating in. Your bib is also your timing tag and you will notice it on the back of your bib. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE. Also, please be careful not to fold, bend, or wrinkle your bib to prevent damage to the timing tag. The timing tags are disposable and do not need to be returned.
VIRTUAL SIGNUP
Are you are registered but unable to participate in-person at one or more of the RunDenver Series events and don't want to miss out on the cool swag or earning series points? No sweat! You can participate virtually to complete our epic custom combined RunDenver medal! We just need you to follow a few easy steps (please note, this is not for those of you that are already signed up for the whole series virtually).

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Tell us which event(s) you want to run virtually via this private page. You can sign up for multiple all at once, or come back multiple times and sign up for each one individually. You must signup no later than the start time of each event (8 a.m.) on event day.
  2. Select if you will pick up your swag at the next packet pickup, at the next event, or you can have it mailed to you for a small shipping and handling fee.
  3. Run, walk, skip your event virtually when it works best for you, but to be included in the official results, you must complete the event from Feb 7 to Feb 28.
  4. Bask in your awesomeness!
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR VIRTUAL RESULTS

General Process
  • Step 1: Create an account with our partners at SoDiSp.com (click here)The first step is to create an account. You can either enter a username and password or connect using one of the available direct integrations to popular fitness platforms.
  • Already have a sodisp account? Simply login with the same authentication method you used when creating an account to continue with step 2

  • Step 3: You will be asked for a verification code (please allow 24-48 hours AFTER you switch to virtual for your code to be activated.
  • This code is unique to you and the verification code is "[last name][firstname]vd". So if my name is Jane Smith my verification code would be "smithjanevd" (all lowercase). Then click "Join Event"

  • Step 4: Start logging activities - Once you are connected with your event you can start entering activities. You can open the Connections section in your profile to connect your sodisp account with popular GPS devices and apps. Doing this has the benefit of automatically syncing your activities straight from the watch/app into your virtual event with no manual steps in between, or you can also do manual entry of your run/walk if you don't have, or don't want to use a GPS watch or app.
HOW MOTIGO WORKS (for both in-person and virtual)
Setup prior to your run/walk
  • Download the Motigo App. (Currently available for iOS and Android)
  • Sign up for a free account
  1. Allow Motigo to “access your location” - it needs to be able to do this so the messages play at the proper mileage points.
  • Choose "Race." On the next screen, pick "Select Event"then choose your “Distance”.
  • Share Event with your own personal link: Invite your friends and family to pre-record cheers that will play during your race.  They can download the Motigo App OR visit the Motigo website www.getmotigo.com and “Record Cheers” via web!

On the day of your Race/Run (in-person or virtual)
  • Before your run, open Motigo then click “Start Event” and you're good to go (make sure cellular and GPS is enabled for Motigo).
  • Turn on any other music or other fitness apps you typically use. Motigo won't interfere with them.
  • Start moving! The messages will come on periodically, and your other audio that's playing will automatically lower in volume.
  • When you're done, press "Finish Event." All your messages will be archived in “My Past Events” where you will have them to listen to again and again.
