FEBRUARY 2024

From the Executive Director

DEAR ROSA COMMUNITY:

The new year is off to a running start, creating momentum as ROSA and you, our sector partners, set priorities for our work related to advancing the science around offshore wind development and its impact on fish and fisheries.

Over the past several months, ROSA has met with each of the four sectors (fisheries, offshore wind, science and research, and regulatory) as part of our monitoring plan coordination sessions. The findings from these sessions will be presented this summer. Thank you so much for offering your time and expertise as we develop the report related to summarizing the offshore wind fisheries monitoring plan sessions and use it to inform our strategic plan.

The fisheries and offshore wind sectors created ROSA and have charged us with collaborating with other sectors that conduct research and monitoring related to offshore wind development’s impact on fish and fisheries. To do this, we are expanding our team of Board Members and staff with expertise to guide and support our work.

This is an exciting time for ROSA, and we wouldn’t be here without each of you. Working together is a unique and vital part of our efforts, and we appreciate that it takes time and dedication from our community for our work to be successful.
