Working with a committee is a great way to network and meet people, be involved in an issue that interests you, and learn and practice leadership skills. Below is a brief summary of each Midway Chamber Committee. View Midway Chamber Committees for all current committees and task forces.

Ambassadors

The Ambassadors’ mission is to attract and welcome new members to the Chamber and encourage retention and their participation in Chamber activities. Ambassadors meet one-on-one with Chamber members to discuss Chamber programming and to present annual membership certificates and represent the Chamber at community functions, groundbreakings, and store openings.

Communications

The Communications Committee helps create protocols for effective communication for the Midway Chamber, including through their website, social media, and programming. Communications will include promoting chamber events and members.

Annual Celebration

Creates and implements the Chamber’s major fundraising event, the Annual Celebration. Primary responsibilities include soliciting silent auction donations, creating a theme for the event, handling logistics, and ensuring a smooth, successful evening. (Meets monthly September through February).

Economic Development

The Economic Development Committee encourages and guides economic development in the Midway through advocacy, policy and program development, support for existing business and recruitment of new business. The committee also hosts the annual Economic Development Summit.

Golf

The Golf Committee handles arrangements, format and details of annual golf tournament, including design of contests, solicitation of door prizes and giveaway items.
