OPEN HOUSE (BANQUET) REMINDERS:

STUDENTS NEED TO RSVP ASAP
June 1: Band & Orchestra Awards Open House RSVP β€” The Open House (Banquet) will take place June 1, 2021, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at VFW Park (Lincoln & Campbell, Royal Oak, MI 48067). Students in all Bands, Orchestras and Ensembles and their families are invited to attend this free event. All students are recognized.

Join the Directors and Boosters to celebrate the end of the 2020-2021 school year with:
* A continuous slide show presentation
* Socializing in a physically distanced manner
* Awards being picked up at your own leisure

STUDENTS will need to RSVP (this is required), and SENIORS should submit their slides by Wednesday, May 26 (see below). Parents can submit photos for the slideshow by going to the "INVITATION & RSVP" button/link on the website's BANQUET page.

SENIOR SLIDES OVERDUE β€” SUBMIT BY WEDNESDAY, MAY 26
Attention, Seniors! β€” We are still missing many of your senior google slides. We would hate to exclude you from our Open House slide show β€” you are the stars of the show this year!

SLIDE DETAILS: Please create a google slide that expresses your personality (keeping school-appropriate guidelines in mind). Include your name, senior photo, primary instrument, ensembles and future plans. This slide will also be used when voting for Senior Awards, so please also tell us about your musical career at ROHS. Please email ONE completed google slide to your music teacher by Wednesday, May 26.


SPRING SPIRIT WEAR PICKUP INFORMATION:

Please pick up your Spirit Wear orders β€” Spring Spirit Wear orders are in! Text or call Spirit Wear Committee Chair Kristine Brezenski at 248-376-6543 to coordinate a pickup time at her home (110 Aqua Ct, Royal Oak 48073).


CALENDAR & OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

May 25: Marching Band Uniform Pickup β€” All Winds and Percussion report outside the ROHS band room from 6-8 p.m. to pick up bibbers (wear shorts you can put them over).


May 25: Senior Cruise β€” 7 p.m. at ROHS; more info here.


May 26: Marching Band Rehearsal β€” ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED for rehearsal from 4-5 p.m. If the new tops are available, students will go home with one.


May 26: Seniors' Last Day of School!


May 27: ROHS Senior "Prom Alternative" β€” 8-11 p.m. at the Royal Oak Farmers' Market. Buy tickets on Payschools.


May 31: Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade β€” Marching Band has an 8 a.m. call time (9 a.m. parade start) in downtown Royal Oak. Uniform turn-in after the parade for SENIORS ONLY. The MB will NOT be performing in the ceremony at the library β€” just the parade. Additional information available on Canvas.


Booster Board Elections β€” Several new board members were voted in during the May 11 booster meeting. The new 2021-2023 ROHSBOB board members are:
  • Vice President β€” Jason Pyciak
  • Secretary β€” Leah Barnett
  • Communications Coordinator β€” Jen Anesi-Brombach
  • Fundraisers β€” Laura Young and Linda Johnson

MB Face Masks Available β€” Show off your musical spirit! Masks come in three colors (while supplies last) and are $10 each. β€‹β€‹To place an order:
  • Send an email with your color preference to Jen Anesi-Brombach at jenanesi@gmail.com. Wait for a confirmation reply.
  • Pay online online using the Booster PayPal account.
  • After payment is received, masks can be picked up at 1426 E. Windemere Ave, Royal Oak, 48073.

These weekly email announcements and teacher Remind messages are the best way to stay up to date with what is going on. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
