In response to Budget 2026, and as we head into negotiations, your Association is calling on every member to take part in a visible show of solidarity.

Wear red tomorrow.

May 1 is May Day, an important day for the labour movement and collective action. It’s an opportunity to stand together, show solidarity, and raise our collective voice for the profession and for public education.

This is a simple but powerful way to send a clear message to government: public education must be a priority.


We’re also asking every school and worksite to:

• Take a staff photo in red
• Send it to your School Representative
• Have your Rep share it with the NLTA
  

Our goal is to turn social media red and demonstrate, collectively and visibly, the strength of our profession and the need for action.
