Ride for Pride” Celebration in Venice, FL
3rd Annual Event January 2021!
VENICE, FLORIDA – December 23, 2020 – Venice Pride, Inc. has rescheduled our “Ride for Pride” car parade through the city of Venice, FL for Saturday, January 9th, 2021 from 1PM to 3PM. Let’s start the year right by celebrating pride and progress!
Venice Pride, Inc. is excited to host this event for the LGBTQ community and its allies. This is the 3rd time we have gathered together to celebrate. “Visibility is still on the agenda of our LGBTQ community! Come out and "Ride for Pride" this year in Venice, Florida as we make the statement that COVID-19 does not end our struggle for full inclusion. "It will be great to see you, even if we cannot hug you. Get out of the house and into the parade”, said Reverend Dr. Nancy Wilson, President of Venice Pride, Inc.
Join as a sponsor or participate as an individual. We ask that you register your vehicle in advance by January 4th, 2021 The car parade will begin at 1PM. We will gather in the parking lot of SunCoast Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) located at 3276 E. Venice Avenue, Venice, FL. After we check your registration and provide you with a map, we will parade through downtown Venice on a planned route. If you already registered as a participant or sponsor this past November, you do NOT need to register again, we have you on our list!
Once again, SunCoast MCC has registered as a gold sponsor of the event. “We are excited to sponsor the "Ride for Pride" event. This year we could all use a little celebration, and by taking Venice Ride for Pride 2021 to the streets of Venice, we hope to bring joy and festivity to our city in a safe way. Please come to either participate in the parade or to show your love and support for diversity and unity from the sidelines!” says Reverend Vickie Miller, Senior Co-Pastor at SunCoast MCC.
