Add care planning to their Thanksgiving to-do list

As your clients make holiday plans, encourage them to have a conversation most families avoid — what they would do if an older loved one needs help with activities of daily living. Who would step in to coordinate care? How would they pay for it? What’s covered by Medicare? Where would their loved one go and what are their preferences?
