Jewish Community Support for the LA Wildfire Victims

The Los Angeles Jewish community is providing essential

resources including mental health support, warm meals, shelter,

and space for individuals, families and institutions displaced by

the wildfires. The Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and other

Jewish institutions are participating in this effort. If you would like

February Erev Shabbat Services Begin at 6:00 PM



In response to member input during the recent Strategic Planning Initiative, Seaside is considering starting Erev Shabbat services earlier during winter months. Accordingly, to gauge member interest, we will begin February Erev Shabbat services at 6:00 pm, rather than our usual 7:30 pm start time.

Book Group - Interview with author Jonathan Stone on his book The Prison Minyan.

The Prison Minyan is a comic novel of moral issues set in modern times in

Otisville, a minimum-security correctional facility in upstate New York that

white-collar Jewish offenders considered the penitentiary of choice because it

offers Kosher meals. Seaside member Susan Towers will moderate the discussion.

Each class is devoted to the study of a specific Haftarah.The class strives to be inclusive. No knowledge of Hebrew or Jewish texts is required. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or level of knowledge.
