SEASIDE JEWISH COMMUNITY
Our growing congregation is seeking a creative, values-driven individual to direct our weekly Sunday morning Religious School. The 2025-2026 school season is September – May, 9am – 12pm, (Kindergarten to 6th grade), and our once-a-month Pre-K Menschkins class. We offer a dynamic program featuring music, art, and Jewish learning. This is a paid position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an engaging curriculum
- Recruit/mentor volunteer teachers & aides
- Manage school calendar & budget
- Plan holiday events with Rabbi/Committees
- Foster strong family engagement
Qualifications:
- Experience in Jewish education and basic Hebrew
- Great communication and organizational skills
- A love for children and community.

2025 Yizkor Book of Remembrance
The Book of Remembrance is dedicated to the memory of our loved ones who have passed away. By honoring their memory through gifts of tzedakah, our contributions become a living memorial ensuring the continuity and renewal of Jewish life and community. Seaside is again providing a Book of Remembrance during Yizkor Services on Yom Kippur. If you would like to have the name(s) of your loved one(s) included in our Book of Remembrance

Havdalah on the Beach (and Diaper Drive)
Led by Rabbi Julie Danan
Seaside’s annual celebration of summer, sand, and friendships will be held at Cape Henlopen State Park’s Gordons Pond Pavilion (South Entrance). Beloved folk music duo, The Levins, Ira and Julia, will provide music and lead Havdalah with Rabbi Julie beginning at 6:30 PM. Pack a sumptuous family picnic dinner (sorry, no grilling), and bring a dessert to share on our Seaside dessert buffet. In case of inclement weather, please check our website for updates. The Community Service Committee will once again be collecting diapers to donate to the Baby Pantry of the Community Resource Center in Rehoboth Beach.

The Annual Shabbat B'Que will be held RAIN OR SHINE from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM on the patio. If there is inclement weather, it will be held in the Social Hall on the lower level. Please join us for wonderful food, and a great chance to meet and greet longtime and new members. This event helps to promote membership at Seaside and Is an opportunity for interested non-members to attend. The New Member Shabbat Service (in person and via Zoom) will follow at approximately 7:00 PM and the Oneg at 8:00PM.
