I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family.
This is always a busy time of year, and this week will be no different as the Christmas Walk Committee meets for the final time before next Saturday’s event. While there are a few last-minute details to refine, please know our traditional celebration will take place next Saturday, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
The Cleves Christmas Walk in the Village is a unifying tradition where families can shop, eat, and play together, and neighbors gather to celebrate the season. This year’s festivities will feature multiple musicians throughout the day, including local talents Jim Gillum and Chase McCreary.
Everyone’s favorite, Elvis, a.k.a. Mike Davis, will also return to the stage.
Highlights include:
- Carriage rides through the Village
- Food vendors such as Sweets and Meats and Nacho Average Taco Cart
- Craft fairs at the Miami Township Town Hall and the Miami Township Senior Center
- Model Train Show at Dennie George Funeral Home
- Karaoke at Maka Mia Pizza-Plus Jerry's Pizza & Beverage Special
- Patty's Old Fashioned Popcorn
The Parade of Lights will return this year, with large crowds expected. Special guests Rosie and Gapper, the Cincinnati Reds mascots, will be available for photos with residents starting at 5:20 p.m. and continuing during the parade. To make the evening even more festive, food vendors have been asked to remain open later so families can enjoy a meal together after the parade.
A full schedule of events will be distributed later this week.
We look forward to celebrating with you and making this year’s Cleves Christmas Walk in the Village a joyful gathering for all.
Sincerely,
Chuck Birkholtz, Mayor
