Service Hours (Activity Logs)
|
For over 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.
While various activities and youth groups teach basic skills and promote teamwork, Scouting goes beyond that, and encourages youth to achieve a deeper appreciation for service to others in their community.
Always remember to log any and all service hours. To help you learn how to log the hours, here is a link to a video that shows you how to enter service hours (Activity logs). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GT4fvG5_5GI
Thank you for your service to our communities!!

National Youth Leadership Training
|
What is NYLT? National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action-packed, six-day program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home units and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. The course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what he/she must KNOW, and what he/she must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO.

Boxwell Summer Camp Hybrid Merit Badge Program
|
The Middle Tennessee Council is thrilled to be offering a hybrid program this summer for Scouts who cannot attend Boxwell Summer Camp for a full week. This program allows Scouts to attend camp for a single day to work on a Merit Badge, similar to our Merit Badge Days in the spring and fall. This program is available during weeks three and four of our summertime program and is scheduled for a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at Boxwell Reservation. Scouts can choose from eight different Merit Badge classes each day as this will help them progress on their Scouting journey.

This year’s theme is Olympic Games, let’s see which troops bring home the GOLD.
