Zoe, Toby's mom writes,
On the evening of November 16 Toby crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We rescued Toby from BBR 09/2014. At that time, he was estimated to be around 5 years old. The original plan with Toby was to foster him until he found his forever family, little did we know we would end up being his forever family. BBR volunteer, Teri picked him up from the Harris County Shelter after he was found wondering around Lake Houston. After the meet and greet in the driveway our next step was a bath for Toby. He smelled so bad there was no way he would be allowed inside. As we bathed Toby and praised him for being such a good boy, he knew at that moment he was loved and safe. Toby suffered from a fused vertebrae which limited his motion and flexibility when it came to running and climbing stairs. That never stopped Toby’s walks!
For 7 years Toby brought happiness to our lives . We’re happy for the time we had with our handsome boy. For those 7 years we provided Toby with the best life a dog could have. We made sure Toby had great food, a comfy bed, long walks through the woods, and Toby gave to us unconditional love. We will miss our boy greatly. Loving you changed my life, losing you did the same. I’ll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge, Toby.
