Mini May Update by the Numbers, 2024 Annual Report and More!

Spring was in full bloom this May, and our garden was bustling with activity! The team has been hard at work planting, tending, and preparing for a season of abundance. Here’s a look at the month’s impact, by the numbers:

• Our green waste program continues to make a big impact, saving $16,241 year to date on soil amendments. By repurposing organic materials, we’re reducing costs while enriching our growing spaces—proof that sustainability benefits both the planet and our budget!

• In May, 109 unduplicated volunteers donated 332.25 hours of their time in the gardens over the last month.

Public volunteer day for June. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, give back, and learn some new gardening skills. Drop in on Saturday, June 14 from 9am- 12pm.

Soulful Seeds Fundraiser Triumph: Over $20K Raised to Strength Community & Food Access

We had an incredibly successful Bowling Fundraiser last month! Thanks to generous donations from our sponsors and event participants, we raised an impressive $20,095. Cultivating Flavor: A Garlic Growing Journey

Take a deep dive with Earstin to explore growing garlic in Northern Nevada. Earstin, our CoFounder, is a garlic expert and can't wait to share his knowledge. If interested, you can signup for the class through TMCC's EPIC portal. A portion of the workshop fee will be donated to Soulful Seeds, helping support our mission and community initiatives.

You'll also receive garlic seeds to take home, giving you the perfect start to growing your own garlic in your garden later this year!
