Pat with Duchess. Pat serves as a guide and marshall at SW. He designed and built our first 5 stand program and the I Pull controller boxes for the sporting clay course stands. |
"Life's kinda funny sometimes: George Squires and his brother Bill were
just out for a drive in the country when they stumbled across S.W. and
decided to try it out. I was working with Geo at the time and he
introduced me to the sport, about 2003. I've been hooked ever since.
I love the sport (though mostly I can't hit a barn from the
inside) In particular, I love the coaching aspect of guiding.
When I was about 14, I managed to shoot myself through the hand
while repairing an antique pistol. This has given me the healthiest
respect for firearms safety which I try to pass along to new and
perhaps, old shooters.
I have served a couple of terms on the Executive of ASCA as a
member and treasurer, and a couple on CNSCA as a member. Several years ago, I did a re-write of the "Rules" - folks must not have liked them
much, since they keep getting changed.
Until the legs gave way, I was a dyed in the wool hunter of
birds, and big game, in particular Bighorns."
