Letter from Mark Law - Board Treasurer and Chair of Storm Water Management Committee

HEY, IT RAINED!

That was quite a gully washer the CC Community experienced Monday afternoon. This was the first major test of our storm water runoff system since 2022. Local rain gauges measured .45” - .51” of rain in less than 20 minutes. We are happy to report that all storm drains and gullies performed properly and no flooding of significance occurred.

You may have noticed some debris flowed over trails and streets in some areas. This is a normal response to extremely heavy rain. The CC streets are designed to also serve as storm water runoff channels. It is an inconvenience, but these isolated debris flows will be cleaned up when City crews become available.

In the meantime, please let us know if you observed water damage to facilities and structures that we may not be aware of.

We weathered the storm!
