This month’s issue will be a short one. In addition to my husband’s hospital stay, the universe decided to challenge me with a dead computer mouse, a broken tooth filling, a smoke alarm crisis (dying battery), an insurance squabble, and a few health trials of my own! What fun!
As I discussed with one or two like-minded friends, I believe that we don’t stop advancing even when we (smugly) reach a new and more evolved level of consciousness. Instead, we get a new test from Source helping us in Earth School to play the game better. Oh, you’re feeling so superior that you’ve gotten this far, huh! Ok, now play with THIS, the universe says. Can you meet the challenge and keep your perspective? Can you go through stress but stay centered? Is there a silver lining in the test that you can learn and integrate into your awareness?
(Of course, your daily aspects give insight too. Forewarned is forearmed, as they say.)
Eventually, the test will be over, and hopefully surmounted with aplomb. You’ll be stronger for it. And life will once again return to a semblance of normality. But meanwhile, if you’re “on the path” and trying to be mindful every day, you can expect periodic turmoil that’s being offered as a lesson and a growth spurt.

ASTRO TIDBITS - AUG. 2024
The World experiences the need to revise plans and revisit matters involving health care and leadership (Mercury retrograde in Virgo and Leo). The 16th-19th indicates aggressive actions and turmoil possibly caused by electronic upsets (Mars conjunct Jupiter; Full Moon in Aquarius square Uranus exact). Week 3 is not good for business (Jupiter square Saturn).
The U.S. might expect accidents or violence on the 1st (Mars conjunct U.S. Uranus) but the rest of Week 1 shows good news and positive economic outlook (Mercury station retrograde trine U.S. Jupiter; Jupiter trine U.S. Saturn). Mid-month indicates strength (Jupiter/Mars trine U.S. p2 Mars). The 21st brings a new start regarding military efforts and alliances (Mars return). The 28th indicates debates while seeking the right path for the nation but also much confusion and anxiety about laws and government (Mercury station direct sextile U.S. Mars; U.S. p2 MC sextile U.S. NN; U.S. p2 Moon opposite U.S. p2 Neptune in H9).
President Donald Trump finds Week 1 empowering (New Moon conjunct his p2 Pluto, sextile his p2 Mars).
JD Vance (8/2/84, Middletown, OH) is an unusual idealist (Uranus/SN trine Sun; Jupiter conjunct Neptune) who is soon to be under great emotional pressure regarding relationships (t Pluto square his Pluto/Moon).
Kamala Harris finds herself blocked and unpopular for the rest of the year (t Saturn opposite her Uranus/Pluto/Venus) with special challenges regarding communications (Pluto square her Mercury).
The F.B.I. has been destabilized since May (Uranus conjunct its p2 IC). The agency must undergo steep transformation into 2025 (Pluto opposite its Sun).

THE PURPOSE OF EMOTIONAL TURBULENCE
This is the message for today. In light of ongoing circumstances in society, there is much development of emotion. Emotion is an energy that permeates the physical body. In doing so, the body finds itself in a vibrational state that can react with a variety of results such as the release of hormones, the tightening of muscles, or tensions, and conversely, the release of tensions.
In a vibrational universe, all things react as they must depending on the type of physical vehicle a person, an animal, or even a plant inhabits. When emotions are ramped up, sometimes even to the breaking point, an individual feels as though he or she is in a whirlwind or a storm. It becomes essential for one's well-being to learn to master such states and return quickly to neutrality, which is also called peace or serenity. Even with jubilant emotions, the physical state is not often in harmony. Sometimes this is called being “over the top.”
It is to be understood, developed, and evolved into, that the next step forward for human beings is to dwell in high emotional states but learn how to master the experience within. Such an experience, if handled correctly, becomes empowering, and anything that is empowering to humans is the necessary next step to manifesting your intention. Thus, we are saying that humankind is being put through the ringer. And of course there is a cosmic purpose.
If you had incarnated into a calm and static era, you would perhaps enjoy life better but would evolve much more gradually. Therefore, in reading the news headlines nowadays, rejoice that you have chosen so much turbulence. You have been wise and brave. Your ancestors applaud you, and so do we. You are moving into the future of mankind quite rapidly.
