Apologies, everyone. A month of computer glitches, switches, and resets made it all but impossible to put out an issue last month. But this month, April, may prove to be the more "important" month after all. The energies have been ramping up with the second of two eclipses, bringing strange events.
Has the world seemed to be in suspension lately? Well, everything is about to break open!
There is so much cosmic activity this month that it is challenging to forecast. We know that there is a comet – forebodingly called “the horned comet” (as in devilish?!! But I've also heard it called "the horned goddess" which is more uplifting) – coming closest on the 25th. Does that foretell dark events, or does it bring darkness into the light? However, a few days before that, we have the possibly delightful aspect of Jupiter conjunct Uranus on the 21st, usually fortunate for growth and new options, that can benefit Taureans, Virgoans, and Capricornians, especially those born around the 11th-15th of each month. This could affect banking and real estate in general yet also generate excess energies causing things like earthquakes. But there are other, more difficult aspects to contend with: The much-anticipated Solar Eclipse on the 8th is likely to challenge those born between the 8th-13th of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, probably regarding new belligerence in relationships. Consider a personal consultation to see if you fall into this category. Because the path of the eclipse crosses much of the U.S. there is great concern on the national front about this energy pattern, with expectation of violence or climate events, and mobilization of some security measures. On the 10th, Mars and Saturn connect, causing frustration and restriction, especially for Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius. Might this blockage be some fallout from the days’ earlier Eclipse? And finally, on the opening days of May – the 2nd to be exact – an intense energy impacts those born between the 23rd – 25th of January, April, July, and October. This life-changing pattern can be very beneficial or very difficult depending on the aspects it makes in your horoscope, so please let me know if I can clarify your situation via an astrological assessment.
All told, April can be the cosmic turning point we’re all waiting for.

ASTRO TIDBITS - APRIL 2024
The World sees a very active month, especially from the 8th-11th, which looks strong for new starts, even possibly warfare (Solar Eclipse in Aries conjunct NN), and also shows much frustration or delays (Saturn conjunct Mars). On the other hand, there can be incredible luck and innovation in Week 3 (Venus conjunct NN; the rare Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, with Mars conjunct too!). Talk about a Jubilee! From the 22nd-23rd, issues about power and money reach a peak (Full Moon in Scorpio square Sun), demanding forced changes, especially regarding powerful males (Pluto square Sun). On the 25th, an important message is given that could be something groundbreaking (Mercury station direct in Aries conjunct NN exact!) April should prove to be quite a month!
Last month, the U.S. experienced a powerful resurgence of hope and faith (p2 New Moon in Pisces H3). April’s Week 1 starts with the energy of an awakening (Neptune sextile U.S. Pluto). Week 2 brings some turmoil and upheaval along with military strength and high energy (p2 Uranus conjunct U.S. p2 MC; Mars trine U.S. Sun/p2 Jupiter). A mixture of aspects in Week 3 shows a crimp in the economy but good pacing (Pluto square U.S. p2 Saturn; Saturn trine U.S. p2 Jupiter); also, tension, protests, and fighting (Mars conjunct U.S. p2 Sun/p2 Moon, square U.S. Mars); yet with high hopes and an information overload (Jupiter square U.S. p2 Mercury, trine U.S. Neptune). Many announcements indicate that people are really tired of the struggle (Mars trine U.S. Mercury/p2 NN, opposite U.S. p2 Neptune). Week 4 continues the pattern of awakening and rebirth (Uranus trine U.S. Neptune; Mars sextile U.S. Pluto/p2 Pluto). The 23rd shows a peak for serious goals regarding children and/or real estate and investments (Full Moon in Scorpio H11 conjunct U.S. p2 Saturn, opposite U.S. p2 Venus exact in H5).
Kamala Harris faces a power struggle and may feel confused and uncertain (Pluto square her p2 MC; Neptune square her p2 Sun).
Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, (1/12/64; 11:30 AM, Albuquerque, NM), could be facing either relationship problems or a hostile takeover (Neptune square his Moon; Pluto conjunct his Mars)!
Hunter Biden will be lightly punished but ultimately “skate” (Pluto square his Saturn but sextile his Neptune; Neptune opposite his Pluto but sextile his ASC; Uranus sextile his Moon). Might he be “turning states’ evidence”?
The ridiculously high monetary verdict against President Trump occurred under a stressful pattern (Pluto entering Aquarius square his p2 Moon at 0 Scorpio) but it did not stand (Neptune, ruler of his H8, trine his Venus).
Israel is under duress (Pluto square its 0 Scorpio ASC). In the coming years, it must realign itself in order to survive (Pluto will conjunct its IC, oppose its Moon).
Princess Kate Middleton (1/9/82, 7PM, Reading, UK) has a physical weak spot in the stomach area (her Cancerian Moon/NN t-square to her Sun, and Saturn/Pluto). It has been exacerbated recently (the t. NN has created a Grand Cardinal Cross to her planets). This usually signals stressful situations in the family. Her health problems could be dire since she has just announced that she will be stepping away from royal duties! Prince William will probably be brought to the throne soon (his p2 Sun in Leo), maybe sooner than expected with King Charles’ removal, as previously forecasted. William is encountering great pressure now regarding his role (Pluto square his MC).

Book Review: “The Midnight Library” – by Matt Haig (Viking, 2020)
To my mind, this novel is a fictional riff on reincarnation.
Very inventively, author Haig has his lead character – Nora Seed, a depressed young British woman, possibly on the verge of suicide – explore her dreams of potential lives by finding herself in a strange, between-realms place called The Midnight Library. Her favorite childhood librarian, Mrs Elm, has become the guide there, and Nora’s various experiences of sampling the vast shelves of books become the gateway.
Whether or not Haig is a student of metaphysics, one could say that this magic, nebulous Library is none other than the Akasha, and the infinite selection of books, the Akashic Records, while Mrs Elm functions as the Guide or Elder.
A building appears in a mist. Inside, well lit, are aisles and aisles of books. Mrs Elm appears and says “Between life and death there is a library. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived… if you had the chance to undo your regrets.” The shelves begin to move. Nora gets handed a grey book, The Book of Regrets. All futures, she is told, begin now. “There are no pasts, only their consequences. You will stay there as if you have always been there. If you have found a life you truly want to live, then you get to live it until you die of old age.” Needless to say, as other books fall into Nora’s hands along the way, she gets to live each life she has regretted losing: e.g., marriage to a pub owner; an Arctic researcher; a rock star; dating a hot celebrity; her brother not dying; her best friend not moving far away; closeness with a parent; and so forth. Of course, each life proves less than ideal, and in fact disappointing.
Besides the more mundane chapter titles, some in and of themselves are quite intriguing: To Live Is To Suffer; How To Be A Black Hole; Antimatter; The Moving Shelves; Regret Overload; 10 Ultimate Updates Nora Had Posted Before She Found Herself Between Life And Death; System Error; A Moment Of Extreme Crisis In The Middle Of Nowhere; The Frustration Of Not Finding A Library When You Really Need One; Life And Death And The Quantum Wave Function; If Something Is Happening To Me, I Want To Be There; The Podcast Of Revelations; Equidistance; Why Want Another Universe If This One Has Dogs?; A Spiritual Quest For A Deeper Connection With The Universe; No Longer Here; A New Way Of Seeing; Nowhere To Land; The Other Side Of Despair; A Thing I Have Learned (Written By A Nobody Who Has Been Everybody); Living Versus Understanding; How It Ends. And in between these chapters are some called The Successful Life, The Perfect Life, The Gentle Life. (Too bad there is no Table of Contents, though.)
I don’t want to give away the ending, but suffice it to say that Nora’s fantasy lives, once actually lived, may not be all her dreams imagined. Just being alive and living up to her potential may be enough after all.
For those of us who are “into” reincarnation, The Midnight Library is a metaphor for trying multiple lives in multiple genders, eras, locations, cultures, etc. in order to accrue that priceless treasure: wisdom. Well written, well imagined, deep but easy to read. 5 stars.

OUR GUIDES
We hear you. We are responsive. We are watching the game unfold. If there seems to be strange energy about, it is not imagination, it is so. For things are being deliberately shaken up. The status quo has become untenable and new possibilities or potential are being inserted. What does that mean? It presupposes a higher hand, a guiding energy, an overarching entity that is manifesting newness in order to change and divert the path that the world is now on.
Do we speak of a God? No, the concept is closer to the word custodian, for although humanity has free will, there is a limit if free will’s choices move the world too close to destruction. Are we, in this realm now (the ones who are speaking), the true custodians? In a way, yes, but we too are being guided, directed, and sometimes restricted. The reality of life is that there are levels, a hierarchy of being, and each level supersedes the next and is more wise and closer to all-knowing, and thus has the authority to decide, guide, and alter at times the overall direction.
This may be new and even shocking information for some. Most humans have always recognized and acknowledged the godhood, although some do not, but the structure of such changes from culture to culture and even from an individual to individual.
All that is fine. There is no problem with imaginative construction, but we do say that from with the lowliest lifeform such as amoeba or tardigrade up to the most exalted who lives in human form, there is still superior consciousness that will sometimes step in to help.
No fear. All is well. All is going along splendidly.
