A PERSONAL NOTE

I’m finding this month a time of expansion and contraction. New opportunities for creative writing and astrological avenues have cropped up, but physical issues are getting in the way! For example, I’m working on a synopsis for a movie, but hobbling around on a cane. Or, my colleagues and I are starting a Zoom astro meet, but I can’t do the Meta Meet this month because of compromised energy. My brain is in high gear, but my joints are yelling loudly for attention. It’s very dualistic!
Am I the only one going through this? Maybe the world is like that too now. Full steam ahead but slow down! So much new information is being released! It will take time to comprehend and integrate it all. We’re being forced into acceleration but wanting to hang on to comfortable old times.
And while I’m waxing philosophical, is there such a thing as destiny? Recently, as I wrote here, I saw Trump’s win as destined (i.e., “written in the stars”). Not all astrologers would have agreed with me, but to me it was plain as day. And over the years I’ve seen such a pattern in clients’ charts from time to time, having to do with health or career success or finding love. It’s as though the outcome was part of the soul’s pre-incarnational agreement. But then, one wonders, what about free will? Does that exist too? Yes, within the pre-arranged pattern (soul’s choice), there’s plenty of room for personal decisions. You can play the energy as you want. The outcome, bitter or sweet, is what brings wisdom!
Therefore, how we’re all going to react to today’s patterns will bring us happiness, calm, or misery. It all depends on one’s mindset.

ASTRO TIDBITS - FEB. 2025
The World gets helpful news in Week 1, and can feel spiritually uplifted (Jupiter station direct trine Mercury/Sun; NN conjunct Neptune). Economic reports are good on the 8th (Venus sextile Pluto). The 12th can bring explosive events (Full Moon conjunct Uranus). Calm is restored on the 24th (Mars station direct trine Saturn/Mercury).
The U.S. shows over-commitment to allies at first (Jupiter station direct conjunct U.S. DSC, square U.S. p2 ASC). Upsetting news in Week 2 can bring out lots of emotions (Uranus square U.S. p2 Mercury; Full Moon opposite U.S. Moon). Week 3 indicates efforts to please the disaffected populace (U.S. p2 Moon square U.S. Venus). Limitations, alliances, and military activity is shown in Week 4 (Saturn conjunct U.S. p2 Sun; Pluto square U.S. p2 Saturn; New Moon conjunct U.S. p2 DSC; Mars station direct conjunct U.S. p2 Jupiter, square U.S. p2 Mars).
President Donald Trump is emboldened but stymied in Week 1 this month (Jupiter station direct conjunct his p2 Mars, square his p2 Sun; Saturn square his p2 Uranus). He can be very forceful behind-the-scenes in Week 2 (Full Moon conjunct his Mars in H12). Mid-month into early March he continues his aggressive actions (Mars station direct square his Jupiter exact). Relationships are tiring by month’s end (New Moon in H7 opposite his p2 Sun).
Pete Hegseth (6/6/50, 8:28 PM, Minneapolis, MN) seeks leadership but must overcome great challenges in life (NN in Leo; Grand Mutable Cross). His head is in the clouds now (Neptune conjunct Moon in Pisces). Much frustration lasts through early March (Saturn opposite his Saturn, square his Neptune triggering the GMC). Not until Week 1 in April is there greater success (Jupiter conjunct his Sun).
Pam Bondi (11/17/65, time unknown, Tampa, FL), powerful, well-organized, uncommon, unstoppable but idealistic (Sun/Neptune in Scorpio; Moon/Pluto/Uranus sextile Neptune; Mars, Venus in Capricorn), is nevertheless faced with delays and obstacles in life (Saturn-Mercury-Moon Mutable T-square). This frustration is evident now through late February (t Saturn triggering it from H2).

Book Review: “Replay”, by Ken Grimwood (Harper, 1998)
Similar to a previously reviewed book herein called The Midnight Library, this novel examines the provocative concept of reliving your life again and again, each time making different choices in search of fulfillment. Whereas the other book used a magical device (the library) to shift into new lives, here the main character just keeps dying and being reborn at roughly the same time in his life, retaining all his memories and decisions.
In fact, 43-year-old Jeff Winston, news director of a local news radio show, dies in the very first sentence! He has become disillusioned with his insufficient career success, is in a troubled marriage, and is yearning… for a vacation, a better house, a child, a more meaningful relationship. And he immediately wakes up in his college dorm room, physically young but still mentally in his prior life as a disheartened adult. His college roommate, Martin, (who would go on to commit suicide) greets him and is confused by his odd behavior. He goes on a date and then more with his college sweetheart, Judy. And he eventually parlays some meager savings to get rich by betting on horse-races and stocks that he remembers will pay off gigantically.
Grimwood gets the details of the 1960s, Jeff’s replay, quite well. But he never addresses the mechanism that propels the dying-reliving plot. The only thing he adds to it is the fact that with each replay the rebirth is a little later in the life, and eventually runs out of time. This is called “the skew”.
Jeff’s lives play out as a very rich gambler with a slutty showgirl from Vegas, a marriage to a cold socialite that gave him a beloved daughter (whom he grieves losing), a debauched sex-drugs-and-rock’n-roll undertaking, and a reclusive farmer up in the hills. Along the way, he tries to avert JFK’s assassination (it doesn’t work; another unknown figure steps in to replace Lee Harvey Oswald) and meets up with a female replayer who becomes his true love in sequential lives. These two even take out ads to find other replayers, but sadly only find one other who turns out to be a mad serial killer.
As a meditation on values and choices, the book is entertaining but never rises to an ascended level of a spiritual quest. Jeff’s choices of lifestyles could be described as materialistic, not very wise. He is hampered by cultural limitations. But in finding true love, life after life, at least that height was reached. Also disappointing was the author’s cavalier dismissal of any explanation as to why the process was occurring.
Slightly recommended. – 3 stars.

EXAMINING AUTHORITY
Please give a message for the February 2025 newsletter for my readers.
We are gathered here in the upper plane watching what is unfolding. We see much energy, hope, expectation, and we also see some chagrin, worry and defeat. These two sides of human nature are in full display as we glance at the aura of the planet, for both types of reactions reflect that which is dualistic in human nature.
The great work of this era is to reconcile the two extremes into a workable, smart compromise in order to utilize the great amount of energy and creativity now at hand. Some will still choose resistance over everything. Some will choose gloating and arrogance over everything. Neither is satisfactory. The best is adaptation, compromise, and the desire to reach the finest possible outcome utilizing all of humankind's gifts for innovation, dynamic effort, visionary insight, and the willpower or intention to see it realized.
Obviously, this is not simply a technological issue nor is it a political one. It is an evolutionary challenge. Having spent time in negative energy, poor if not dangerous results, and false beliefs, people are ready for change, growth, and above all, new understanding. The majority now want this. This is the main factor that will usher in the new age, the new earth.
And so, there is a new time ahead for doing much inner work. This includes questioning actions undertaken by authority figures so that the majority are comfortable with that action’s common sense. It would also include the building, or should we say rebuilding, of trust given to those in office or authority, including the medical profession. This might require some acknowledgement of mistakes or ill behavior. All that will be done now will be tested against, weighed against the standard of whether or not it would be beneficial to the majority, helpful for the race of man, and fortunate for the planet itself.
The very experience of living through darkness will be the impetus for bringing much new light into all the doings. Light can be defined as understanding, transparency, radiance, love. Planet Earth and all of its inhabitants are moving towards the force of love. None better can be said. Blessings are brought upon all when all are aligned with this perspective.
