A PERSONAL NOTE

In my literary reading this month, I arrived at two huge insights. Firstly, thinking about Singularity (Oneness), I started seeing everyone as God. As experiments in contrast. That’s not to say I see everyone as holy or delightful. Oh no! God plays at being everything, so some manifestations are just not very lovely! Yin and yang. God is both dark and light. But the thing is, I’m not seeing individual egos any more so much as unique expressions of the All. So, if I engage in conversation with a stranger, I do it as though I were talking to a different version of God (i.e., of myself). Interesting things happen. The person’s guarded façade melts away. Their real self comes forward, and we share a laugh or a common interest. Separation dissolves.
Now, some expressions of God aren’t very nice. Dark, harmful, even evil. I just withdraw and make it my business to stay away from them. Just because it’s an aspect of God doesn’t mean I have to interact with it. (I, as God, can design my relationships and experiences. This is empowerment.)
The second insight came from a wonderful book I’ll be reviewing in future newsletters, The Seven Sacred Flames. It speaks of particles of light (fast or slow electrons) – an unlimited amount – that are our means of creating our desires, the material at our disposal. They can be used to create despair and suffering or joy and love. Shortly after reading this, I had a quarrel with my hubby and felt angry and cold toward him but made an instant choice to use my electrons for love! I told him I was doing that. He didn’t respond right away but I sure did! I had picked up my invisible tools and changed the attitude and the aura. Nice things eventually followed.
We’re human beings, and thus react with all kinds of emotions and crazy thoughts about life. But we’re aspects of God and have enormous hidden powers to respond to daily dramas. It’s hard to stay peaceful and harmonious but it’s possible with the inner work.

ASTRO TIDBITS - JUN 2025
The World faces the beginning of a new era – a New Age (Pluto, Neptune, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury all entering new signs) – and the ending of an old one, especially regarding money (Uranus ending its journey through Taurus). Week 2 sees a mixture of joyful outcomes (Venus conjunct Jupiter) but also negative news such as a reality check especially around the 10th if hopes aren’t constructive enough (Saturn/Neptune square Mercury). Over-idealism meets slowdowns in Week 3 but the mood is upbeat (Neptune square Jupiter; Venus trine Mars). The 21st brings strength (Mars sextile Jupiter) while the 25th benefits domestic matters (New Moon in Cancer conjunct Jupiter).
The U.S. shows benefits regarding leadership and the entertainment industry in Week 1 (U.S. p2 Moon trine U.S. NN in Leo). Week 2 indicates over-optimism about the economy but a serious approach to the environment especially in analyzing the past (Jupiter square U.S. MC; Saturn conjunct U.S. IC). Week 3 sees less fear, with good prospects for the job market (Jupiter trine U.S. p2 Saturn). Fortunate events and success with the public are shown during Week 4, with cause for celebration (U.S. p2 Moon sextile U.S. p2 MC; Jupiter conjunct U.S. Venus). People are consciously searching for higher meaning, better values, and spiritual development (Uranus trine U.S. p2 Pluto in H2).
President Donald Trump is inventive and energized in Week 1 (Mars sextile his Uranus/Sun, sextile his Jupiter), and is at his best on the 9th (Jupiter sextile his ASC). In Week 2, he may experience surprise and emotion while handling a power struggle (Full Moon in H4 conjunct his SN EX/Moon, opposite his p2 Uranus; Pluto square his p2 ASC) but is bold and aggressive in reaction (Mars conjunct his ASC). Week 4 finds him strong, dynamic, and blessed (Mars sextile his p2 ASC; Jupiter trine his p2 ASC), which allows him to refocus on plans and communications (New Moon in H11 conjunct his Mercury).
The new Pope Leo XIV (Robert Prevost, 9/14/1955, 6 AM EST, Chicago IL) is a modest, reclusive and pleasant individual (Sun/Venus/ASC in Virgo H12…) but holds many secrets and wields power behind the scenes (…Moon/Pluto in H12 sextile Neptune). He has been chosen under lucky and important patterns (his p2 Venus conjunct his NN in H3; Saturn/Neptune in a Grand Fire Trine to his Uranus and p2 Sun that has just entered Sagittarius). Action regarding finances is required (his p2 Mars conjunct his Neptune in H2). He can no longer be cloistered but must start dealing with abrupt changes, especially with organizations (his SN in H9; Pluto starts opposing his Uranus in H11).
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez “AOC” (10/13/1989, 11:50 AM, Bronx), attractive and adventurous but emotionally unstable or even delusional (Libra Sun square Jupiter; Sag ASC; Moon in Grand Cardinal Cross involving Uranus/Saturn/Neptune, Mercury, Jupiter), confronts old patterns (Neptune square Uranus). She feels stymied (Saturn square Uranus) and might use rash words that get her into trouble (Jupiter opposite her Uranus square her Mercury; her p2 Mercury at 0 Sag). She is entering a long period of delusion and disappointment (Saturn/Neptune triggering her GCC).

Book Review: “Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth” by Reza Aslan (Random House, 2013)
Not simply another attempt at biography of one of the most significant figures in world history, but a well-researched view of the goings-on before, during, and after the life of Jesus. Many subjects of the era are included, such as the brutal Roman occupation, the Jewish Temple hierarchy, the proliferation of would-be messiahs, the various sects that arose, the prosperity (or not) of the regions and towns, and so forth, that paint a clear picture of the turbulent period and its apocalyptic fervor.
The author’s viewpoint is detached, questioning, and academic. “The more I probed the Bible to arm myself against the doubts of unbelievers, the more distance I discovered between the Jesus of the gospels and the Jesus of history – between Jesus the Christ and Jesus of Nazareth.” For instance, Jesus defers to John the Baptist; Jesus has an older brother, Joseph, calling into question the virgin birth (!); everybody and his brother claim to be the Messiah; crucifixions were common punishment and considered accursed; the Bible has inaccuracies, contradictions, and exclusions. Aslan makes clear that he wants to “purge the scriptures of their literary and theological flourishes” and put Jesus “firmly within the social, religious, and political context of the era.”
A major theme of the era is zealotry, thus the book’s title. Zeal refers to the Jew’s passionate adherence to the Torah and the Law, never to serve any human master other than God. To throw off the Roman yoke and even that of materialistic religious rulers was the only way to usher in the Kingdom of God. Such fervor produced groups of bandits, assassins, movements, and revolutionary leaders far earlier than Jesus’ time. The Jewish people were ripe for a true Messiah! This is Part 1.
Significant to the focus of this 297-page book, the historical Jesus does not take center stage until pages 74 through 159. This is Part 2. The well-known stories and the prophecies are covered here but are also viewed from the later and sometimes contradictory tales of his followers and disciples. Of the plethora of exorcists, magicians, and healers of the time, Jesus’ successful services were free of charge, emphasizing his threat to the priesthood and their costly rituals. As a Jew, his attention was towards Jews only, especially poor ones, rather than other groups. His promises of liberation, reconstitution of the 12 tribes, and arrival of the Kingdom of God were not realized, making the historical Jesus a failed messiah, neither prophet, liberator, nor king! And he was crucified by Romans for sedition rather than traditionally stoned by the Sanhedrin for blasphemy.
Part 3 explores the development of Jesus as Christ, promulgated by early gospel writers, especially Saul/Paul. Much of this transformation rests on the miracle of resurrection, but previous cultures already held that belief, e.g., Egypt’s Osiris. Disciples such as James fought between themselves to preserve a primary adherence to the Torah, while others built a universal conception of a “true god from a true god.” This section may stick in the craw of true believers but is backed up by copious Notes and research. It’s what makes this book particularly fascinating and unusual.
The only caveat is the paucity of citings of Jesus’ miracles that clearly distinguished him from his contemporary claimants to messiah-hood. – 4 stars.

LEARN CALMNESS AS AN ASCENDANCY TECHNIQUE
Once a day, let there be within you a few minutes of total calm.
Design this interlude deliberately and with whatever technique you so choose. Some of the possible techniques might be a quick meditation, or a breathing exercise, or even an experiment of stopping your thoughts. The interlude of calm should also include a conscious cessation of strong emotion, as for example if you have been anxious, or angry, or even ebullient. Make the decision to quiet the body’s processes that are continually responding to strong emotions. This combination of quietude and serenity for whatever the length of time involved will do wonders for your health and for the remaining hours of your day.
We speak of the restoration of energy. We also speak of the development of empowerment, for when you can do this for yourself on your own timetable and with deliberation, you can also do this under more trying circumstances because you will have taught yourself a method to master life.
After you have succeeded at different times of day, with various people or alone, or even in a variety of weather, you will have practiced and gained mastery so that you can prolong your new calmness and begin the journey towards an elevated vibration.
Nothing begins by simply wishing it. It takes discipline and intention; it also takes awareness or what is sometimes called mindfulness. This is very different from just living your day, being buffeted by whatever, and constantly reacting. That is an experience of weakness. What we are suggesting are the baby steps to empowerment and ascendancy. As new energy is pouring into the planet, so is your opportunity to create a new you. We have given the easiest way to do so and urge you to jump on board to begin to realize your true destiny.
