A PERSONAL NOTE

Among other shifts that have, or are about to happen in this new era is a softening between the animal and human kingdoms. The Bible prophesizes that the lion will lay down with the lamb (which hasn’t quite happened as yet to my knowledge), while the internet shows us some amazing and beautiful relationships that wouldn’t have been common or even possible in years gone by. For instance, in the 1800s, the phrase Nantucket sleigh ride referred sardonically to the New England whale hunt when a harpooned creature would drag its boatload of pursuers across the seas, even to their doom. But now I’ve seen videos of giant whales cruising underneath lone kayakers, harmlessly investigating these “odd” specimens! I’ve seen a crow feeding large koi fish. I’ve seen a goose hug its favorite child who steps off a schoolbus. And I’ve seen a lioness jump into an open safari shuttle, going from tourist to tourist, pushing for head pats and loving being petted. There are many more such incidents, too numerous to mention, but indicating a clear shift from enmity to friendship.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the human kingdom could also do that with one another? No more wars, no more crime?
Another insight is of animal evolution on the level of individualization, such as when a wild creature is adopted by a human and then begins to develop loyalty and personality. This, we’re told, indicates the start of a particular animal’s journey from herd consciousness to selfhood. I’ve watched videos in which a wingless bumble bee spends its short life in a woman’s house, climbing on her arm and hand and in the garden she provides it; or a Russian bear brought up as a family member, eating with them at the table; or a cockatiel chasing the pet dog around the house, and even mimicking its barking. So much character! Who knew?
I once had a cat, all black, that I named Sabrina. My kids brought her home from a farm litter because she was the one that ran to them while the rest of the batch ran away. They understood that different animals have different temperaments. Sabrina would sleep on my stomach when I napped, or curl up purring in my lap when I sat with a client. She was sickly with leukemia and died young but was very brave. Once, on the patio, she spent a night under the lounge chair so as not to upset a skunk that was also hanging out there. She would roam the woods all night but come running back to me when I called her name in the morning. She was my familiar. A mediumistic friend saw her years later in a session, thanking me for all the blood transfusions in trying to keep her alive. I have no doubt that she had a distinct personality and was a soul mate from earlier lives.
If the animal kingdom and the human kingdom are truly coming closer together then there’s hope that all of Earth is moving from darkness to light. Look beneath today’s headlines and crises… see what’s really going on behind the limelight. See the profound change taking place.

ASTRO TIDBITS - JANUARY 2024
In the World, a rare benign aspect may signal a time of renewed healing (NN conjunct Chiron). We are all overemotional on the 1st (Mercury station direct square Moon). Week 2 indicates good pacing and high energy (Mars sextile Saturn, trine Jupiter), with positive changes for economies (New Moon in Capricorn trine Uranus). Idealism is high on the 20th (Venus square Neptune). Transformation regarding technology speeds up by mid-month, especially regarding A.I. (Pluto reenters Aquarius). Week 4 brings drama re excess, with a strong focus on currencies and real estate (Full Moon in Leo square Jupiter; Uranus station direct in Taurus, trine Mars), and looks excellent for business gains (Saturn sextile Jupiter; Venus sextile Saturn, trine Jupiter).
The U.S. continues to undergo needed transformation and lucky innovation (Pluto conjunct U.S. p2 Pluto; Uranus station direct sextile U.S. p2 Sun), but is hampered by ongoing fake news and/or unrealistic dreams (Neptune opposite U.S. p2 Neptune). There might be two different stories being hotly debated right from the get-go (Mercury station direct square U.S. Neptune exact in H9, opposite U.S. Mars, sextile U.S. p2 Mercury). Week 2, however, looks great for economic strides (Saturn trine U.S. Venus/Jupiter, sextile U.S. p2 Venus), and we seem strong, fortunate, and happy (Mars opposite U.S. Venus/Jupiter, trine U.S. p2 Venus). Week 4 shows frustrations (Mars square U.S. Saturn/p2 Mars), with a possible dramatic issue involving Hollywood and money (Full Moon in Leo conjunct U.S. NN in H8).
President Trump gives an important communication on the 1st (Mercury station direct conjunct his Moon, opposite his Sun exact). He is forceful, energetic, and cogent in Week 1 (Mars trine his ASC, sextile his p2 ASC; good Mercury aspects). In Week 2, he is mostly upbeat because of good news (nice Venus and Mercury aspects), but might be stressed or angry in Week 3 (mixed Mars and Sun aspects). Week 4 shows some frustration (Mars square his p2 Mars; Sun opposite his p2 Saturn), but ends up with a very favorable situation (his p2 Moon sextile his ASC; Neptune trine his Venus; Jupiter trine his p2 Sun).
Israel in Week 3 is at the beginning of a profound transformation of its image and purpose (Pluto reenters Aquarius, square its ASC).
It would be surprising if King Charles can remain on the throne, possibly due to a sudden issue regarding his health or his partner (Pluto square his p2 NN/Moon in H10; Uranus station direct square his p2 Mars exact/p2 Mercury in H7).

Book Review: “The Book of the Damned: The Original Classic of Paranormal Exploration” – by Charles Fort (Tarcher/Penguin, 1919)
Charles Fort was so influential in his groundbreaking research that a Society was founded in his name – the Fortean Society – that went on to publish a monthly magazine, and inspired a devoted group of followers from around the world who call themselves Forteans. It was at an astrology conference in the late 70s that I was introduced to the magazine (then just roughly copied, maybe even mimeographed [!] if I remember correctly, but now an expensive glossy international subscription publication found in places like Barnes and Noble). It was fascinating, primarily because the data was not fictionalized but reported via credible witnesses and often leaving behind tangible evidence.
As the book cover says, Fort was “a lasting influence on science fiction as well as science” but he was also dismissed and ridiculed for trying to investigate anomalous phenomena.
Falls and sightings make up the bulk of this particular work. An incomplete list drawn from contemporary and past centuries’ news accounts includes such things as: black rains, red rains, thousands of tons of butter, charcoal, stones, yellow substance, colored hailstones, greenish felt, manufactured metal, diamonds, glass, cannonballs, showers of blood, frogs and toads, bricks, comets, coins, tablets, plates, lettered stones, fairy crosses, seventeen tiny coffins, poltergeists, cup marks, clawed foot-mark tracks in the snow, hordes of angels, successive falls in the same small area, and fragments of ice from a cloudless sky. And this list is by no means comprehensive!
He draws a conclusion that things exist in a state of suspension, in a realm he calls Intermediate, or a Neutral Zone. Or from an old civilization not native to Earth. He even concludes that “we’re property,” and “belong to something” that is owned and has been colonized. He says ancient Britons were blue, and giants occasionally visited this earth. He postulates parent worlds and colonies. He thinks of melted stone, other worlds near the earth’s surface, inter-planetary trade routes.
In the second half of the book, the reported phenomena begin to seem very much like today’s UFO sightings and maybe even deliberate weather warfare. A large satellite of planetary size that crossed the sun. A crow-like black thing poised over the moon (e.g., a mothership?). Concurrence of earthquakes with aerial phenomena. Lights in the heavens. A world or vast super-structure that hovered over India in the summer of 1860. Three luminous bodies over the sea. Shafts of light. Disks and cylinder-shaped bodies. Vast living things in the sky and oceans, some rotating. Is our whole solar system, he ponders, a living thing?
When faced with these real, very evidentiary occurrences, of which everyday science and normal physics cannot clarify or justify, Fort couldn’t help but strive for wild explanations and unique conclusions. His use of the term “damned” is applied to “a procession of the data that Science has excluded.” In today’s magazine, people continue to report on mysterious happenings they lived through, or strange deaths that befell some. Fascinating is a weak term for all this!
Fort’s writing style is difficult. He speaks in staccato phrases interspersed with lengthy erudite exposition. There are many, many source references. And the book lacks any illustration whatsoever. Nevertheless, it has its greatness. 4.5 stars.

Judi, your last channeled paragraph was so "on point" to me because it confirms something I have been saying for many years now, that we (as humanity) need to stop thinking of ourselves as different races, etc., and recognize that we are all "the same species!" “Good morning, Judy. I just woke up a few minutes ago from one of those dreams. Meaning it was a little extra.
In this one I was giving you a reading. Yes, you were the recipient. We were in a room, there were two others, one was a woman who was a psychic who I knew and had just given a reading to and the other I think was Rory and he was sitting in the corner, not particularly involved.
You were wearing a pure red sweater; your hair was long and brown. I complimented you on your looking good. You were youthful and had a lot of good energy (as you always do). At one point you did a little tai chi.

That is the essence of it. I cannot think of any profundities that were offered by me or you. It was certainly nice to be with you again 'in person' sharing ideas.

NEW SUBTLE WAVES OF THOUGHTS BEGIN
In the beginning of the year, a new energy unfolds. It is primarily in the nature of thoughts, thoughtforms, because it is here in the mental realm first that energy forms itself into new identities, new purposes, creative approaches to old problems, and all manner of intangible construction.
It is not true, of course, that thought has no tangibility. As proof, if you stare at someone whose back is turned to you, they will invariably feel your stare (that is, your thoughtform being projected) and they will turn around to look at who is sending forth that energy. Also, as has been demonstrated, thoughtforms project a crystallized pattern onto water, either beautiful and attractive because of happy and kind thoughts, or ugly and chaotic because of the opposite.
When we speak of new creation beginning first on the mental plane, we are really speaking of a new emanation from Source. It will feel like several people are coming to similar conclusions and new solutions simultaneously. It will feel as though the world is seeing a new trend, new direction, new intentions, new pathways of possibilities, all of which is true. But behind all that is Source playing out its cosmic plan for humanity and planet Earth.
This is the subtle source of new energy but it is neither random nor accidental nor simply pioneering. It is, in fact, designed.
We close this message by saying that all is well, and must be so because there is guidance, direction, and purpose way behind what seems to be new, what seems to be happening, even what seems to be chaotic. All is well because there is a vast guiding hand behind the evolutionary outcome. And it is not accidental.
Let yourself become more sensitive and more intuitive. Let yourself begin to feel these subtle waves of energy that are entering the consciousness, that are the seeds that will in due time become new forms and even happy solutions. If you can begin to feel these subtle waves of energy, you yourself will have stepped up your ascended development, and will become part of the solution rather than, more densely, part of the old problems.
