A PERSONAL NOTE

In view of the turmoil afoot in our nation at the moment, my good friend (and excellent astrologer!) Judy Hennes and I were studying the country’s prospects for its upcoming birthday, July 4th. The main tool we used, called a Solar Return, is calculated for the exact moment the Sun returns to its natal position. That gives a pattern that will play out over the year, and reveals the good and the bad of its focus. Well, we were very happily surprised to see, despite some ongoing tensions, three very beneficial shapes that bode well in general. These three are called a Double Kite in fire and air, and a Mystic Rectangle. The latter is rare and oh-so-helpful! I’ll discuss these more at length next month (since we’re talking about a July event), but I wanted to give everyone some high hope and a shining light which is coming forward now.
In the meantime, remember that you chose to incarnate at this time, and are likely some kind of warrior – interior, if need be – to bring forth a better world and kinder humanity. Hold your ground and follow your beliefs.
For readers who got my last newsletter, you might remember that I found a channeled poem in some old papers from 2000. Well, here’s another that “came through” right afterwards:

ASTRO TIDBITS - JUNE 2021
The World may experience some pleasant and healing energies in Week 1 (Venus trine Jupiter; Neptune trine Mars), while Week 2 offers windfalls (Venus sextile Uranus) and an important development regarding communications and social networking (Solar Eclipse in Gemini). Mid-month remains tense because of the conflict between radical ideology versus tradition and/or the people versus the governing bodies (Uranus square Saturn in fixed signs). Between the 20th – 25th, a series of beneficial patterns show opportunity, idealism, compassion, and economic growth (Jupiter SR in Pisces; Venus trine Neptune; Neptune SR in Pisces; Full Moon in Capricorn sextile Jupiter). However, on the 24th overreaction to social or financial matters should be avoided (Venus opposite Pluto).
Most of the patterns for the U.S. are favorable in June but for a few exceptions. Will we be turning a corner? There seems to be help from higher realms all month (Neptune trine U.S. p2 PF). Week 1 indicates luck, strong debates, aid to or from our allies, and a healing vibe (Mars conjunct U.S. p2 PF/Mercury/p2 NN, sextile p2 Neptune; Venus return in H7). The 7th is very mixed, with pleasures at odds with conflict and even violence (Venus conjunct U.S. Jupiter; Mars conjunct U.S. Pluto). Week 2 continues the latter, worsening on the 10th because of new attacks or war upon our allies, e.g., Israel (Mars conjunct U.S. p2 Pluto; Solar Eclipse conjunct U.S. Mars in H7). The 14th shows reason to be happy (Venus conjunct U.S. Sun). The last third finds the nation in a earnest and constructive phase (Saturn sextile U.S. ASC). The 20th is terrific for tech, jobs, and social relations (U.S. p2 Moon trine U.S. Uranus; Jupiter SR trine U.S. Venus; Full Moon in U.S. H1 opposite U.S. Venus). It is also a time for Hollywood to make greater efforts (Mars conjunct U.S. NN in Leo). However, the 25th-26th may bring rage, violence, or even terrorism in some areas (Mars opposite U.S. p2 Moon, sextile U.S. Uranus)!
Israel will play an active role in world affairs now, and, whereas it is very beleaguered, it is also lucky and protected in some way all month (p2 Sun conjunct MC; p2 Moon trine Moon; p2 PF conjunct Mars; p2 ASC conjunct Jupiter). During the first half of June, it faces extreme tension and violence (Uranus square its Pluto, conjunct its NN) but is planning serious goals (Saturn trine its p2 MC). Restrictions, lockdowns, and curfews are required during the second half (Saturn opposite its Pluto, square its NN). Spiritual help is shown on the 25th even as old problems threaten its very existence (Neptune SR in Pisces sextile its Sun exact, square its Uranus). Under attack through July, it will respond very aggressively (p2 Mars opposite its p2 Moon). For Benjamin Netayahu, despite turmoil and attacks (p2 Mars square p2 Uranus), communication is key (p2 Moon into Gemini). He must balance diplomacy against practicality (p2 Sun square Mercury) and he plays his role well (p2 MC sextile his Jupiter).
President Trump experiences continuing frustration and delays (Uranus and Saturn T-square his p2 Pluto; Mars conjunct his Saturn) but is upbeat and confident in Week 1 (Mars square his p2 Jupiter, conjunct his Venus, sextile his MC). His birthday pattern (Solar Return chart) indicates a wrapping-up of details and a re-energization towards goals (Moon at 29 Cancer in H10 conjunct Mars in H11; ASC at 29 Virgo). The 9th-10th finds him diplomatic and excited about fresh starts in internet communication (Venus conjunct his Mercury; Solar Eclipse conjunct his NN/p2 Uranus in his Gemini H10), probably the launch of his own social media network. This pattern is almost the very thing he was born to do! Week 3 is nice for rallies and healing (Mars conjunct his p2 MC, sextile his Neptune). The 23rd-25th is also excellent for online communications and benefits via groups or organizations (Mercury SD in Gemini conjunct his Uranus/p2 NN, trine his Jupiter exact; Venus return in H11). He is practical about his vision on the 25th (Neptune SR trine his Saturn exact). On the 28th-29th he can utilize his justifiable anger (Mars conjunct his Pluto).
French President Emmanuel Macron can be overly idealistic especially about “friends” and financial matters (Neptune square his Venus from H2), but is evolving and growing stronger (Pluto sextiles his MC, conjuncts his p2 Mercury/ASC). He is greatly challenged (Saturn conjunct his p2 Sun in H1 opposite his Mars; Uranus beginning to conjunct his Moon, setting off his t-square to his Uranus, Mars), but will see gradual improvement and remain in power (Jupiter SR trine his Jupiter, opposite his Saturn; Saturn in Grand Air Trine to his p2 Sun, NN, PF).
Anthony Fauci, somewhat slowed down or blocked (Saturn square his p2 Jupiter), might deceive or be victimized (Neptune SR conjunct his p2 Sun, square his Mercury) but basically skates for now (Jupiter conjunct his p2 Mercury; Pluto trine his p2 Neptune; Uranus conjunct his p2 Jupiter; Neptune trine his Mars, sextile his Uranus)! However, he will face the music in some way in the Fall (Saturn SD conjunct his Jupiter/Saturn, opposite his Moon).
The DNC (Democratic National Committee) (11/1/1828, noon, D.C.) faces frustration, blockage, and disruptive change (Saturn square its PF/MC, again conjunct its Mars; Uranus conjunct its MC). Does this indicate internal struggles?

Book Review: “The World's Most Incredible Stories: The Best of Fortean Times," Lyall Watson, (Avon Books, 1992)
Longtime readers of this newsletter may remember that I reviewed the Fortean Times magazine in the November ’08 “Spirit’s Words”. “Fortean” refers to the work of Charles Fort (1874-1932) who had tasked himself with researching and collating all manner of strange phenomena, resulting in his disproving the rigidity of a strictly scientific explanation of the world. Fort and Forteans have taken these incidents seriously and published several books on the subject, of which this is one.
Everything Fortean is such a fun read! Unlike some tabloids, each weird incident must have been credibly witnessed, often by several people, proving how bizarre reality can be. It’s hard to pick one’s favorites from such a banquet of oddities. Was it the Chilean army corporal who disappeared in front of his men for 15 minutes, then reappeared with a five day’s beard? Was it the 80-year-old Bulgarian electrician who never got shocked handling 240 voltage? Was it the Kamchatka volcanic acid lake that eats up the scientists’ rubber boats? Was it the Indian man who walked for three days with an arrow lodged in his chest? Was it the Frenchman who managed to sleep on a tightrope? Crop circles? Freak animals? Unaware pregnancies? Feral children? Jinxed paintings? Strange lights? Inept crimes? The list goes on and on.
Once immersed in Forteana, you’ll never see the world the same again. Too many synchronicities, too many anomalies, too many events that seem to ignore the “laws” of physics. Stuff has really happened… and the mind is blown! I think the true goal of Fort’s labors was to reveal the fluid nature of reality, and to smash the solid walls of three-dimensional Newtonian inflexible constructions to allow our minds to open up to non-determinable yet highly creative marvels. For its genre, 5 stars.

WHICH IS THE STRONGER PATH?
We greet thee.
We who are more knowing than thee, by virtue of existing/residing on a more elevated plane, can see further afield, can take in a broader panorama of events, and can also recognize the trends that energy is following. (And by the way, this is the very definition of a higher plane, a higher realm, or a higher self – all the same thing.)
It is this very height – a term that does not denote a physical measurement but a frequency domain – that removes the perspective from the ongoing drama that is Earth, and shows it against a cosmic background or an eternal play. And so, it is from this viewpoint that we can offer guidance, insight, wisdom.
The energy trends are twofold. One trend forces individual consciousnesses to seek, to aspire, to pray, and to yearn for connection with this, the higher source or elevated plane, while another trend of energy seeks to harm, control, foster fear, and enslave. The latter is an aspect of the human ego. It is on a path of ever-increasing and ever-spiraling negativity.
The two paths, the high and the low, are destined to engage in a type of battle for dominion. However, while pitted against one another, one holds greater power. The reason for this is that, in seeking connection with a higher plane or higher consciousness, this path opens the door to greater powers, understandings, and energies than those who devolve into density on the earth plane.
Light becomes the sword. Understanding allows for freedom. Free will, free choice, freedom enforces itself and brings into play mightier powers than the individualized ego alone can wield.
The drama now on stage, being played out, is eternal, always there. Conflicting forces, two directions. The choice as well is always there. The difference now is that it has been brought into crystal clarity. From this vantage point, we observe. We do not interfere. Choice is made by each individualized soul, and then that soul merges further and further with the path it takes.
Both forces are strong but there is a definite difference in their qualities but also in their outcomes.
