A PERSONAL NOTE
Hi,
True to its nature, the current Mercury retrograde in Taurus is making a part of my life a little hellish! Because of technical problems with the company GoDaddy, my main business email, judi@wisdompath.com, is not working (nor has it been for a month, to my alarm). And when I tried to fix things through tech support, (a) first, I couldn’t get through for hours; (b) next, I was told “everything’s fine” until a bank told me an email had been “undeliverable”; (c) then, a tech support person started to explain and correct everything, along with a large new payment, at which point, the call was cut off inexplicably; and (d) then, after an hour on the phone with yet another tech support person, the problem still was not resolved!
This is utterly typical of a Mercury retrograde hassle.
I’m writing about this (in late April) for a few reasons. It might all be resolved by the time this newsletter reaches you (although, if not, please contact me using my other email: starspro41@gmail.com). If you are also experiencing a problem with communications and/or transportation, just know that bad-boy Mercury goes direct on May 15th, after which your particular issue will likely be resolved.
Also, my situation might serve as a cautionary tale about a typical Mercury retrograde event. This pattern happens with regularity three times a year, and represents the optical illusion from relative motion of Earth and Mercury orbiting the Sun. Nevertheless, events happen in our lives – to a greater or lesser degree depending on the unique aspects made to your horoscope each time – whether or not one “believes in” astrology. There is an energetic transfer between celestial events and human lives.
Which brings up the subject of people’s acceptance of astrology as a tool that can help us avoid (or at least mitigate) an upcoming event, or guide us in making better choices. As a predictive device, we can use it to prepare for the unexpected, or lessen its effects once its nature is understood ahead of time, or even try to avoid altogether some of the negative events that loom. If we are open to the use of this wonderful tool, we can avoid accidents or disasters, plan to utilize better days (patterns) for procedures or launches, and even relate to others in a more meaningful or peaceful way.
I’ve been told that a chain of gyms is offering “specials” during the Mercury retrograde, and that Wendy’s is using it to market a giveaway now. So many businesses are getting on the bandwagon, mainly because its very existence is penetrating society and to a small degree, economics. That’s good! Mercury retrograde remains a positive period for resales and reviews, but a teeth-gnashing time for frustrations in the areas of communications and transportation. Do what needs doing, and try to stay mellow all the while.
Meanwhile, wish me luck in fixing my email problem!

ASTRO TIDBITS - MAY 2023
For the World, the importance of difficult Big Tech reorganization efforts and A.I. ramifications are on the wane until next year (Pluto station retrograde at 0 Aquarius square NN). Week 1 has some pleasantries (Jupiter sextile Venus) but indicates a possibly disruptive turning point regarding finances and power structures (Lunar Eclipse at 14 Scorpio opposite Uranus). Innovation and a new approach are shown on the 9th (Sun conjunct Uranus). Mid-month is excellent for economies and healing, with smart serious planning too (Saturn trine Venus; Neptune trine Mars; Mercury station direct in Taurus conjunct Saturn). From the 19th-20th, aggression and conflicts begin, but spiritual energy is there too (New Moon conjunct Mars, sextile Neptune; Jupiter square Mars).
In the U.S., the month begins with good vibes, and an opportunity for more empowered new goals (p2 Moon trine U.S. Jupiter; Jupiter sextile U.S. Moon; Pluto station retrograde trine U.S. MC). There will be exciting positive changes regarding the media (Uranus sextile p2 Sun in H3), and inspired or hopeful healing energy (Mars sextile U.S. Neptune) despite an overreaction in the stock market (Jupiter square U.S. Pluto in H2). Week 2 is beneficial for the economy even if slow going (Saturn trine U.S. Jupiter), but national discredit and domestic problems are shown (p2 Moon square U.S. p2 MC). The 14th brings good news (Mercury station direct sextile U.S. Jupiter exact/Venus, square U.S. NN), but also obstacles and resistance (Saturn square U.S. p2 MC). From the 16th-19th, rage or violence is likely (Mars opposite U.S. Pluto). By month’s end, some are resentful, some are pushy but overall, a productive and celebratory time is shown (Mars t-square U.S. p2 Saturn, p2 Venus; Jupiter sextile U.S. Venus; Mars sextile U.S. p2 MC).
At month’s start, Trump is following his destiny, engaged in ferocious power struggles, but confident and energetic (his p2 Moon trine his NN; Pluto station retrograde square his p2 ASC; Jupiter trine his Mars). He can be frustrated on the 9th or 26th (Mars conjunct Saturn). Family is foremost on the 14th (p2 Moon sextile his Moon). He is at his best on the 16th (Jupiter trine his ASC) but delayed and tired on the 19th (Saturn opposite his p2 Sun). The 21st and 23rd indicate a rollercoaster ride: exciting dynamic changes vary with angry reactions (p2 Moon trine his p2 Uranus; Mars square his p2 ASC).
Duke Harry faces power struggles regarding laws, government, or long distances (Pluto station retrograde his Pluto exact). He can be depressed (Saturn opposite his Mercury), and will have to deal with financial matters (New Moon conjunct his NN in Taurus).
Emmanuel Macron (12/21/77, 10:40 AM, Amiens, France) is under mental stress, with challenges including resistance and loss of funds (Pluto station retrograde conjunct his p2 Mercury exact, square his Saturn; Uranus square his p2 Venus). By the end of Week 1, he must deal with legal upsets and troubling news in order to keep his office (Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio conjunct his Uranus exact in H9, opposite his Moon in H3, but trine his p2 MC).
DA Alvin Bragg (10/21/73, Harlem, NY) has hard karma regarding power (N Pluto t-square his Saturn/Nodes). He is again under some form of coercion (Pluto continuing to square his Sun). Upsetting communications will soon follow, such as having to testify before Congress (Uranus will soon oppose his Mercury).

Book Review: “The Ascension Mysteries: Revealing the Cosmic Battle Between Good and Evil” – by David Wilcock (Dutton, 2016)
I am of the impression that ascension of the soul means reaching a greater connection with your divine self, a higher perspective of life’s dark and light offerings, and a much-changed ability to come from the heart and have compassion for people’s sufferings. For the first 230 pages (out of 473), my respect for author Wilcock was greatly diminished as the reader is asked to slog through his epic autobiographical account of years of being bullied by classmates, dysfunctional family patterns, alcoholism, repeatedly choosing bad drug trips or codependent relationships with obviously negative people – all in the name of “repetition compulsion”, an excuse he uses continuously to justify his awful choices. The book jacket refers to this as his “towering personal obstacles.” During all these very detailed traumatic and even dangerous experiences, he provides only sketchy information about the opposite times of his ascension or illumination. It is an orgy of dark traumas, leavened only occasionally by moments of wisdom, and not much evidence of spiritual awakening as opposed to occasional paranormal experiences!
However, what exactly are the “mysteries” and how they lead to “ascension” (or even what ascension entails) are barely detailed. Other than a few descriptions of visions, dreams, or mystical moments, there is little in the way of revelation or guidance, only the sad path of his youth. Many times before reaching page 231, I wondered why it was even worth continuing reading! After that page, the topics became much more enthralling, and his painful journey was no longer mentioned.
Not for nothing, but my own journey to “illumination” contained childhood meetings with an old wise man figure (as he also describes), an out-of-body initiation, rejection of a psychedelic drug (LSD) in the roaring 60s, bailing out on a phony “guru”, and plenty of discernment about kooky people during gatherings of psychics or Star Trekkies. IMHO, it was certainly not necessary to go off a cliff into darkness in order to awaken to one’s cosmic identity, as Wilcock seems to infer!
It was only after this half-of-a-book schlep that a truer, more admirable Wilcock reappears. He, who in his two previous books (see my past newsletter reviews) excels in synthesizing arcane scientific research, math and astronomy, ancient religious texts, and many avenues of metaphysics, returns to us as someone whose writings I could esteem and enjoy.
The second half of the book was indeed enjoyable, addressing as it does the following fascinating topics: universe as hologram; single seed of DNA; Source Field; UFOs and ETs; energetic shift leading to pain leading to a golden age; massive event/solar flash; advanced ET technology; the Cabal (New World Order and bad reptilian Dracos/secret Earth government syndicates) vs the Alliance including ET “Guardians”; pop culture, e.g.; tv; movies and video games; Biblical prophecies; Ancient Builder Race; destroyed Super Earth (now asteroid belt); monuments on Mars; evidence on other planets/satellites; Wanderer souls; Moon bases; planetary alignments; 25,000 year Zodiac cycle; mysterious day when time ends; periodic mass extinction event; mass evolutionary catastrophe; transparent aluminum; stargate network; giants/Titans; underground civilizations; and elongated skulls… just to mention a few!
Summing up this colossal concoction, Wilcock concludes that “Earth is on the verge of a massive cosmic event that will transform matter, energy, consciousness, and biological life as we now know it and will utterly defeat the great villains of our time.” [book jacket] Mesmerizing, absurd, and thought-provoking. 3½ stars.

ONE ORGANISM, REACTING, MANIFESTING
There is but one of us here. Not you-all down there, and we-all “up here.” No, that is not the truth. The truth is mankind is one organism. Pieces, parts, or fragments of it react differently as swirling energies flow here and there, and the identity that is you – in other words, your soul – reacts to these energies as some cells on your skin might react to a breeze or a heatwave.
The cells on your skin are not individual beings; they are part of you. However, your cells have consciousness, and can work together to heal, and they can also work together to fight disease or any other kind of intrusion. Therefore, it is a concept contained in the idea of parts that make up the whole.
Now, this is also true of humanity, for not only is humanity one organism, swaying this way and that as it reacts to geological and cosmic forces, but it is also one organism that is but a pack of cells on the skin of the Creator. We give this image deliberately so that you can comprehend a vast Being of which you are an essential but not separate part.
In actuality, you are as merged with this vast Being of conscious awareness that you call God or Creator, as the cells on your skin are merged with you. What we are conveying here is that you and we (who are in spirit and not in form) are yet One Being.
For now, this is enough to comprehend and to cogitate upon.
If you wish to manifest something in your life, ask for it. Ask the higher self. Ask the universe. Ask the entire entity for it, and then wait with utmost faith that it will come. Be cautious not to ask, even unconsciously, for a negativity because that too will come. Cleanse your mind and your thoughts, and ask for positive results, good occurrences (which are called luck), and benefit for all, both in form and in spirit – the whole shebang – and then wait and see what is brought, what can be received, how glorious is the notion that the small you is as much co-creator as the most vast Being.
