SPRING 2020 ORDER WINDOW

Greetings!

It's finally here! The Spring 2020 co-op food program order window is open, orders are coming in, and early orderers are breathing a sigh of relief. This memo has a BUNCH of new info that was not in the last memo, so please consider giving this a thorough glance.

SPRING 2020 BID WINNER
I am pleased to announce that our program remains a competitive bid process. We received highly competitive bids from both Sysco Montana and Food Services of America. This bid cycle was won by Sysco Montana, and I'm sure you'll love all the new brands. I will send out your Sysco bid specialist's contact information in January to everyone who places orders.

In addition to the links and info "provided" by our new Pillsbury Dough Chef (ain't she a cutie??), my most important bit of advice is to note the changes in brands and case pack sizes for this round of ordering.

Open Nov. 18 - Dec. 10, 2019

NO EXTENSIONS! The timeframe for manufacturing & shipping product to Sysco once they receive the order report is MUCH SHORTER than after the May order window closes (about 5 weeks vs. 3 months), so the order window MUST CLOSE on Dec. 10 to ensure you receive product on time.

Item 117 - Pizza Crust, frozen, parbaked, 12 x 16 fits 1/2 sheet pan; load with sauce & toppings & pop it in the oven!

Delivery 1.......Jan. 27 - Feb. 14
Delivery 2.......Feb. 24 - Mar. 13
Delivery 3.......Mar. 23 - April 10
Delivery 4.......Apr. 20 - May 8
- PROGRAM REMINDERS -

Items in the Small Equipment & Smallwares category can only be ordered for Delivery 1. The Delivery 2, 3, & 4 columns on the hard copy of the order form have been blacked out as a reminder, and you'll get a red pop-up on your screen if you select 2, 3, or 4 in the Marketplace for these items.

There are no order minimums to participate in this program, all districts receive the SAME PRICE for items, and all delivery and fuel surcharges are build in to the prices.Prices are set by the bid, so the pricing you see today is what you will be charged in the Spring. That said, individual delivery orders (D1, D2, D3, D4) totalling $400 or less may be combined to meet the $400 per delivery minimum at the discretion of the bid winner - Sysco Montana.

You probably noticed we have a shiny new name and a shiny new logo. We recently switched from SWMSS to SSoM - School Services of Montana. This change also affects our website and email addresses, but that's it - same physical address, same phone numbers, same great services. Please update your records with this new info:

Many districts have notified me of changes with their Food Service Managers, and I am grateful. I don't want anyone to miss out on the opportunity to participate in our program. Please let me know if I need to update YOUR records ASAP.
