Greetings, PEPS Community!

Are we ready for spring yet? Did we all start packing away our winter gear just a bit too early? My first daughter was born in Alaska in May during a late spring snowstorm, so I learned my lesson about welcoming spring too early. Despite the roller coaster that has been Seattle weather, March has been a bright month for us at PEPS. Just last week we welcomed 500+ PEPS friends and fans for our annual fundraising lunch. Our “New Beginnings” luncheon was full of energy, celebration, learning, and community. We shared about what’s ahead for PEPS, highlighted community partnerships, and heard from brilliant local author, Angela Garbes. It was yet again a reminder of the power of connection and how much love our community has for parents and families. Thank you all for staying connected to PEPS! Wishing you all some brightness in the days ahead.

What PEPS parents are saying this month…

“…Without PEPS, I would have been overwhelmed with all the information at once. It was also great to have the support system of other moms who had babies at the same stage as mine. The first months of being a mom were not what I had expected, so it was really helpful to have that support.” – PEPS Parent

The 2019 PEPS Luncheon

A huge ‘thank you’ to the 500+ PEPS friends who attended the Annual PEPS Luncheon on Tuesday, March 5th. Together, we raised $211,462 which will help to ensure that all parents can access PEPS programs and allow us to grow and develop further.
PEPS Executive Director, Jessica Lawmaster, shared: “The last few years for PEPS have been a season of transformation…of grounding and soul searching… of listening to the communities we have served, as well as those we haven’t and charting our course to meet their needs.”
PEPS has been learning from partner organizations about how we can adapt our peer-support model to better serve all communities. Participants from some of those collaborations with Open Arms and Cocoon House are featured in this video, sharing how support and community have made an impact for them.

We can’t do this work without you, our community! Thank you to all who joined us at the Luncheon, and an additional thank you to our Giving Challenge donors, our presenting sponsor Seattle Children’s Hospital and our entire Luncheon sponsor team.
