Our next Conference Event is the 8th in Annual Municipal Wet Weather Conference (MS4) May 2-4 in Asheville, North Carolina. Hosted by EPA Region 4, IECA, and the Southeast Chapter of IECA, the MS4 Conference is recognized as a key stormwater industry conference. We have an outstanding list of industry leading speakers for you presenting topics ranging from climate impacts to watersheds, erosion prevention and sediment control, endangered species, green infrastructure, resiliency, mountainous watersheds, stormwater standards, and post construction BMP implementation, inspection and maintenance. We will once again be conducting the acclaimed State Panel discussions featuring representative from our EPA Region 4 state regulatory agencies. The conference will feature presentation form EPA on Wednesday. We have an excellent field trip of the New Belgium Brewery "Brownfields" Developments scheduled for those that are interested. We will once again be providing student and professional scholarships to attend the MS4 conference, so if you need financial assistance, we are here to help. I hope to see you all there!
We look to grow our Chapter membership in 2022. A plan we would like to implement this year is to have each member focus on finding one new member. Please challenge yourself to identify a colleague that you believe would benefit by becoming a member.
Please remember that we are her to assist you in your unique education needs no matter what the climate is. The Chapter continues to have many great training events scheduled, so please visit our webpage to view the schedules and dates. Remember to check the webpage periodically so you do not miss out on any of our outstanding educational opportunities. Also, IECA Members receive a discounted rate on all virtual courses in the IECA eHub (https://ehub.ieca.org/), and also have access to the free member library of courses.
If you have any comments, questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or the other Board Members.

Need Financial Help Attending?
Want to attend the upcoming Southeast Chapter Events but need help covering the costs? Each year the chapter provides student and professional scholarships for multiple conferences and events including the annual IECA Conference and Expo and starting this year we’ve added a twist. We are excited to unveil the Earl Norton Student Scholarship and the Ted Sherrod Professional Scholarship. Earl and Ted have helped the stormwater community immensely through the years by giving their time to teach, serve, and mentor others in the southeast and across the IECA. Submit an application for any of the events that are hosted by the Southeast Chapter. Applications are available on our website (secieca.org) or contact David Snider, our chapter vice-president, for more information (david@LMES.us). We look forward to seeing you at a Southeast event!
