Merry Christmas from the Butler Family

Dear St. Luke Community UMC Family,

I want to remind you on this Christmas Day that Christmas is about Jesus. The birth of Jesus reaches all of humanity. His birth is hope for the hopeless, new life for what has died, power to overcome life’s obstacles, authority to walk in your purpose, joy in all circumstances, and peace to calm you when life is unsettled.

In other words, whatever you stand in need of—this is why Jesus was born.

We celebrate the birth of Jesus each Christmas by remembering where, how, to whom, and why he was born. Happy Birthday to the one Isaiah calls Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Remember: The birth of Jesus is not the whole story; it's just the beginning. To be continued…

Merry Christmas!

Richie, Neisha, Emily, and Ford Butler

P.S. If you didn't get a chance to worship with St. Luke on Christmas Eve morning, here's the replay of our special musical celebration, "The Story of Christmas."
