Message From the PBC Board
Dear PBC Members:

With the health restrictions that have been in place since mid-March, our Chamber has been forced to regroup and rethink how we do business going forward. We imagine that all of you are in exactly this same place. We wonder when this will all end, and what our business community will look like when it does?

There's a lot we don't know, but there's also a lot we do know. We choose to focus on that as we move ahead:

  1. There is a lot of information and resources out there for business owners, and news comes out daily. Our Board is encouraging everyone to visit the Greater Rochester Chamber website for local, state, and federal resources to help during this time. You are not alone in feeling overwhelmed by the onslaught of information being delivered each day, but having one place to check does help keep it manageable.
  2. We stand by our business community and will do whatever we can to support it. If there is something you need or a question you have, please ask. We are bringing you workshops online as we can't meet in person; if there is a particular topic you would like to see presented, please let us know.
  3. While we continue to promote local businesses online and through social media, now is a good time to set up a "Hot Deal" through the Chamber's website. Just log-in to your Member Information Center and follow the prompts, or email us at for assistance. These deals automatically get shared out on Facebook!
  4. Though these are very anxious and unsettling times, there are bright spots too. Penfield is pulling together in all kinds of ways to help others, including its business community. #onepenfield

On March 10th, our Chamber participated in Small Business Advocacy Day in Albany. Several representatives from local Chambers traveled to Albany to advocate for the needs of small businesses. We met with several of our area's state senators who consistently remarked how helpful it was that we were visible and actively voicing their concerns. The PBC looks forward to future trips and will keep you posted on ongoing legislative concerns. If you would like to join us on a future trip to Albany, please let us know.
