I hope you have enjoyed your summer so far and have lots of activities planned for these remaining weeks. Many of the kids will be going back to school this month and I can hear a collective exhale. lol Those days are in the past for me but I have many fond memories. A girlfriend said to me as we were scrapbooking when the kids were young, 'We only have 7 more summers left with the kids.' It was one of the aha moments. I hadn't thought about the fact that sooner than I thought my daughter would be off on her own doing her own thing and family trips would be over. Funny they aren't but it was a thought that reminded me how we often think of things as permanent. That they will continue on for what feels like forever but they don't. None of this is permanent and can change so quickly.
