          If opening a parcel from Goldsboro Books wasn't already an exciting prospect, we are going to make it even more amazing!

 

You may have already guessed it, but we are delighted to announce that we have been made aware that we will be receiving a limited number of signed first editions of the second Cormoran Strike novel by Robert Galbraith, The Silkworm.

 

We realise that the demand for this novel will be unprecedented, and we would love to be able to provide you all with a copy, however this is just will not possible. Therefore, in an attempt to be as fair as possible to all of our customers, and make it a little bit of fun, we shall be initiating a 'Strike it Lucky' (see what we've done there?) prize draw!  

 

We have designed a 'Strike it Lucky' ticket which will be randomly inserted into parcels being dispatched from Goldsboro Books. 

 

This ticket will entitle you to purchase one copy of the novel on 2nd July 2014 at 2pm at our central London bookshop and which will be an event which will form part of our 'Independent Booksellers Week' celebrations.

 

To make this all possible, we have created a list of  Terms and Conditions (below) which are extremely important. We shall try to make it as clear as possible now, but please read them very carefully. 

 

To be in with the chance to receive a ticket, you must simply make an order from our website between 1st May and 31st May, and state 'Strike it Lucky' in the comments section. Please note that your order must be a paid order for an item that is in stock, not a pre-order for books not yet published.  This is the only way to enter yourself into the draw, email and telephone orders or enquiries will not be accepted, and neither will any orders made before or after this time period. 

 

If you are one of the lucky few that 'Strike it Lucky' and find yourself to be in possession of a ticket, then you will be able to come to the shop on 2nd July at 2pm and purchase your signed first edition of The Silkworm.

STRIKE IT LUCKY




TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.         This prize draw is for a 'Strike it Lucky' ticket to attend Goldsboro Books on the 2nd July 2014 at 2pm to purchase a signed first edition of The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith.

 

2.         Tickets will be sent at random from all completed orders for stock items and which include 'Strike it Lucky' in the comments box and are received in accordance with these terms and conditions by Goldsboro Books Limited.

 

3.         Only orders placed on www.goldsborobooks.com will be included in this prize draw. Telephone or email orders will not be valid.

 

4.         The Winners may see their name posted on the Goldsboro Books website and possibly other websites and Twitter accounts.

 

5.         The prize draw opens at 12am GMT/BST on 1st May 2014 and closes at 11.59pm GMT on 31st May 2014. Any entries received outside these specified times and dates will not be eligible for entry into the competition.

 

6.         The prize draw is open to anyone aged 16 or over.

 

7.         Proof of identity may be required on the day of the event.

 

8.         Goldsboro Books Limited is not responsible for contacting or forwarding tickets to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries lost, misdirected, delayed or destroyed.

 

9.         Goldsboro Books Limited reserves the right to cancel the prize draw without notice.  No cash alternatives to prizes will be provided.

 

10.       The email addresses of entrants will not be shared with other companies.  It will be used by Goldsboro Books Limited to send you news about our books and promotions.  You will be given the option of opting out in those emails if you don't want to receive any further news from us.

 

11.       Goldsboro Books Limited will only use email addresses of the entrants, and the Winners' postal addresses, in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with our privacy policy.

 

12.       By entering the competition each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.

14.       Ticket holders who fail to turn up on the specified date will lose the opportunity to buy their signed first edition copy of The Silkworm.

 

15.       Your ticket entitles you to attend and purchase a signed first edition of The Silkworm. Any and all other costs associated with your attendance (including without limitation travel and accommodation expenses) shall be borne solely by you, and Goldsboro Books Limited shall have no liability for such costs.
