JDKG was founded on a philosophy of building strong relationships with our clients. That philosophy has resulted in our steady growth since the firm began in 1995.
George was trained as a corporate transactional attorney, which gives him a solid foundation to proactively identify business issues and problems, and eliminate risks. A significant portion of his practice is involved with corporate transactions. It also includes commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights. His corporate practice focuses on small to medium-sized, closely held and emerging businesses, with operations both domestic and international. He is involved with all legal issues, from business formation to exit events, whether by merger, acquisition, divestiture, or take out financing. Notable clients include auto dealerships and a number of large oil and gas businesses.
Known as a creative problem solver, no matter what the legal issue his client faces, he either knows how to solve the problem himself, or can identify the professional or business advisor to best resolve the client’s issue in a time and cost effective way. His practice involves all aspects of corporate work, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring, private placements, venture capital, and equity and debt financing. George’s clients are local regional, national, and international entities. He is often called upon by international businesses to advise regarding all aspects of U.S. domestic business, as well as negotiate and document transactions between international entities and their domestic affiliates.
As a community leader, volunteer, and activist, George is involved in a myriad of civic, community, nonprofit, religious, and business-related groups and activities. He has, and continues to serve on numerous boards of nonprofits, chambers of commerce, civic groups, benevolent societies, community boards, and educational foundations.

Although banking is not a new industry, Icon represents a new era in the industry. We understand the importance of adopting technologies that enable the progression of the banking industry, while keeping the focus on the client. Icon will be setting a new precedent in the banking industry focused on being flexible. Flexibility is something that most banks (big or small) are unwilling to provide. At Icon, flexibility means customer service and one-on-one relationships.
Today, most clients are educated about banking basics and services they receive and shopping the market for competitive terms. However, with the “large retailer” mind set of many banks, most clients don’t know they can ask for more creativity from their bank. At Icon, we realize the importance of understanding client’s needs and developing solutions catered for them specifically.
|
|
|
The Icon Bank staff understands that our customers come first. Rather than taking a “one-size-fits-all” approach, we specialize in tailoring products and services to meet our customers’ diverse needs that expand as their business and lives grow.
Icon Bank offers competitive terms on loan products and we want to help you with a loan that will suit your needs. Contact an Icon banker for more information.
Our business loan products include:
- Term Loans
- Lines of Credit
- Letters of Credit
- Construction Loans
- Equipment Loans

Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy, providing much needed jobs and services to their communities. With a lot of hard work, and a little luck, anybody can start up a small business and become a success story. Sometimes, however, even the most enthusiastic, industrious small business owner may need a helping hand to grow their business, which is where a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan comes in. There are SBA loans that fit businesses of all sizes, but the most important part is that they provide the capital you need to grow your small business. Read on to find out how a SBA loan acquired through a trusted credit union can help your small business.
How SBA Loans Help
SBA loans are a great choice for small business owners because they are backed by the federal government, providing much better terms and security than you would find with a typical loan. Loan amounts can go up to $5 million, and can be paid off over a 25-year period with great interest rates, giving small business owners the flexibility that they need to grow their company.
Get Your SBA Loan
One of the main components of getting an SBA loan is finding the right lender.
Member’s Choice Credit Union
is a trusted lending institution that is your best bet in getting the SBA loan you need for your small business. We offer basic 7(a) SBA loans, which are perfect for both starting and growing a small business. Because we are a smaller institution ourselves, you can trust that we have your best interests at heart, the way lending should work.
Contact us
today to find out how MCCU can help to make your small business dreams come true with an SBA loan.
SBA loans are available up to $5 million per borrower, and they may be used for any legitimate small business borrowing requirement; such as business acquisitions, partner buyouts, business expansion, new business equipment, and purchase of new construction of small business real estate.

Texas Association of Business Brokers
|
|
TABB was originated back in 1979, with the initiative of a few business brokers who met in Houston, the Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB) was formed. This group of individuals pledged to meet regularly to discuss common issues and opportunities facing business brokers within the state. The goal was to improve the image of business brokerage by raising the professions expertise, ethics, and educate their members as well as the general public in regards to the business brokerage industry, which ultimately results in better servicing sellers and buyers in the process.
TABB became the place for both brokers and those involved in services relating to the sale and purchase of businesses. TABB developed educational programs, and in 1983 conducted its first State Conference in Houston offering two days of educational programs. The format established at this first conference has since been followed by TABB today and the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) as well as the other state and regional business brokerage associations.
