Dear Beaver Families,
I hope you are all enjoying your summer break! The 2019-2020 school year will be here before you know it and registration for private music lessons is now open. Private music lessons are optional and provide an opportunity for all students, from beginners to our most experienced musicians, to further their skills in a one-on-one environment for an additional fee.
Beaver offers private music lessons on campus on a wide variety of instruments. Our teachers are all professional musicians in the Boston area with many years of experience. For in-depth information on Beaver’s private lesson program, please see the
Private Music Lesson FAQ
If you are interested in private music lessons, please fill out the
Private Lesson Registration Form
. Although enrollment is rolling throughout the year, lessons slots are limited and preference is given to earlier registrations. Therefore, we encourage families to submit their registration by
for the best chance of securing a spot. After August 26, the lesson teacher will reach out to you directly to schedule lesson times. For Middle School students, lessons can be scheduled before school or after Afternoon Activities at 3:45 p.m. For Upper School students, lessons can be scheduled during lunch, a free block, or before/after school.
Unlike in past years, there will not be a separate Scholarship Application. Students who receive financial aid and wish to take private lessons will automatically have the same aid percentage applied to their lesson tuition.
A note for New Middle School families: New Middle School students will be going through the instrument matching process for our curricular music program in September. If these students are interested in lessons, we recommend waiting to register for lessons until their instrument and ensemble has been confirmed. If your student already takes lessons on a particular instrument and intends on continuing lessons regardless of their placement in the Middle School Music Program (for example: piano), we recommend registering now.
