Happy Easter

Easter's most powerful verses say

"...WE ARE TO BE PITIED more than anyone IF...

"... Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile ; you are still in your sins . Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost . If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied."

1 Corinthians 15:17‭-‬19

THINK DEEPLY ABOUT IT.

We are SUNK ...

IF...Christ has NOT been raised we are not forgiven of our SINS.

Believers who have died are gone with no future life or hope = we are to be the most PITIED of all people

HOWEVER the Bible goes on to say....

"But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead...

1 Corinthians 15:20‭

I REALLY LIKE VERSES LIKE the ones quoted in

1 Corinthians 15

because it lays it on the line and demands a decision

-JESUS was either a liar, lunatic or Lord of all...

IF CHRIST WAS NOT RAISED FROM THE DEAD...

WE ARE SUNK in our SINS!

SO LET'S ..."Eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die"

ONE OF MY FIRST WITNESS EXPERIENCES...

Since I was well known as an atheist by most of my friends...when I first became a Christian, a friend of mine who was a sports enthusiast, the valedictorian of our high school class, excelled in college, and now in the business world...publicly, before many of my friends he challenged me to a debate because he was an atheist/agnostic...and scoffed at my new found faith. I was very worried because I was a new enthusiastic Christian but did not know very much about the Bible, etc.

After praying about it I told my friend who I was going to debate... my 5 minute testimony and I quoted and read the 1 Corinthians 15 verses above...and said in summation:

"Jesus lived, died and rose again so we could have the forgiveness of all our sins, life forever and a life of meaning and purpose serving Him..."

I told my friend,

'THAT'S MY DEBATE PLATFORM ...1 Corinthians 15"

I never saw or heard from him again after that dialogue because he moved

to another state and Tudi and I did the same

MY WITNESS EXPERIENCE...

As a young person in my early 20's, I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED THAT ENCOUNTER because I know the WORD OF GOD NEVER RETURNS VOID

Other actual witness examples~

Golf and a Hitchhiker

At approximately the same time 2 of my closest friends came to know Jesus as Savior ...one at a very busy golf driving range. ..3 of us got on our knees as everyone was hitting balls and my friend claimed Christ as His Savior...my other friend claimed Jesus as his Savior after I had taken him to a Christian Businessman's banquet where a businessman gave his testimony ...after the banquet we argued...a few days later he and his girlfriend set out to drive throughout the USA doing drugs. One day during that trip they picked up a hitchhiker who also shared Christ with them- and our friends were born again!!

Accept Jesus and grow in grace...

Zoe our granddaughter and Mary her college roommate recently on spring break at Amicalola Falls(highest waterfall in Ga) ...we had a great time with them including a discussion on the following verses (in red)...

VERSES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE (and all ages)

"My child, don't forget what I teach you. Always remember what I tell you to do. My teaching will give you a long and prosperous life. If you do this, both God and people will be pleased with you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. Never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are; simply obey the Lord and refuse to do wrong. If you do, it will be like good medicine, healing your wounds and easing your pains.... My child, when the Lord corrects you, pay close attention and take it as a warning . The Lord corrects those he loves , as parents correct a child of whom they are proud.
