Greetings!
What a wonderful first weekend of Pride Month we had last week! First, there was the cruise-by celebration for Rev. Barbara Haynes and Evelyn Price's 51st Anniversary and Evelyn's 80th Birthday!!! They were so excited to see everyone that came by, as well as those that parked and visited with them in their yard.

Then, church on Sunday! What a blessed time of worship! We talked about A Home At The End Of The Rainbow. MCC has surely given us all a home, and God continues to minister through our witness! This Sunday, we'll continue on the theme of Pride with a message entitled Surprise, Surprise: A Rainbow Anointing! If you'd like to read ahead, check out Ezekiel 17:22-24 (Message) and I Samuel 15:34 - 16:13 (Message).

The third Sunday of June is a busy one: Juneteenth, Trans Pride, and Father's Day! Can we celebrate it all in one service? Of course! Don't miss it! We have a surprise guest (an elected official) visiting that Sunday, too!

Are you ready to re-gather for worship and see your FMCC siblings? Let's do it! Yes! We plan to re-gather on July 4th!!! We have compiled a list of "Best Practices" based on the latest information from the LA County Department of Health that we will share over the next few weeks. It'll be a bit different, but, as all other Sundays, SPIRIT-FILLED! God bless you all. I look forward to seeing you online for the next three weeks, then in person on July 4th!

Hospitality - online - after worship!
Don't forget that we have a time of Hospitality after worship each Sunday. The link is at the top of the first page of our website. Come and have some fun with your church family!
Gracious God, we thank you for Your love and grace, and the opportunity to serve you. We thank You for the many blessings You bestowed upon us and we ask that you continue to bless us and grant us Your favor. Lord may your Spirit give strength to all your people as they work and witness in your world. Unite us in your truth and love and help us to show your love to others.

Gracious God, comfort all who sorrow, provide strength of all who suffer, and hear the cry of those in misery and need. In their afflictions show them your mercy, and give us, we pray, the strength to serve them, for the sake of Jesus Christ who suffered for us.

Loving God, you have made all nations to be one family, and you sent Jesus Christ to proclaim the good news of salvation to all people. Pour out your Spirit on the whole creation and hasten the coming of your reign of justice and love among the nations of the world. Guide with your wisdom those who govern the nations of the earth, that justice and peace may increase, until the earth is filled with the knowledge of your love. That we, globally, having experienced the terror and fear of this past week/year, may find unity of purpose not in revenge but in rebuilding our hope and healing the pain of the common tragedy which unites us. That those who have died may find peace and joy among the communion of saints.

Heavenly Creator, we pray for our families and friends. May we be able to help each other just as you love and help us. We pray for those in need, for sick people, for those in hospital, and for those with other problems.

In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen
