Shelburne Farms joins with all those who support the family of George Floyd as they grieve his death, and with every person and family who has ever suffered unjustly. We stand with all those who are putting themselves at risk to peacefully gather and protest systemic racism. Organizations dedicated to sustainability — especially those that are predominantly white — have a deep responsibility to help dismantle racial injustice. We join with every individual and institution that seeks to use their power and privilege to create a free, and democratic society, and a healthy and just world for all.
Our collaborative project, Cultivating Pathways to Sustainability, is featured in a new United Nations publication that celebrates innovative projects on Education for Sustainable Development (2015-2020). Story starts on page 12.
