xxxxxHey there! The very first Record Store Day Drop is almost here! Just as a REMINDER, instead of just one big day this year there will be three Record Store Day "Drops" on August 29th, September 26th and October 24th. Each day will feature about 1/3 of the total number of RSD exclusive releases. Also, as you know with COVID-19 still being a very serious threat, we've had to adapt and change the way we normally conduct our RSD events. You should have received an RSD Drop Update email on August, 14th detailing those adjustments and changes. For those who did not have a chance to read through our update, don't fret! We've got everything covered for you in our current RSD Drop 1 Update & Guide! In this guide you'll find detailed info on our new rules and procedures, cool freebies/swag, Second Harvest Food Bank of CFL Food Drive, Independent Bookstore Day (also on Saturday!), as well as little preview of some of our favorite RSD Drop 1 titles!
Please know that all changes this year were made considering both the safety of our patrons and staff, as well as providing equal access to the exclusive releases to as many people as possible. You'll find all the same RSD Exclusives this year, just minus the big lines and crowds.
Also, again, BIG thank you to everyone for being patient, understanding and supportive through all of this! Record Store Day was built to be a celebration of the independent music stores, and independent shops like ours would not be here without your continued support, so thank you!!!

When are the Record Store Day Drops?
How do I know which exclusive releases will be available for each RSD Drop?
The updated version of the RSD List can now be found here: WEB version or PDF version. Each version of the list will include details on which specific dates you'll find the records you're looking for!
Will there be a line outside like in years past? Will we be able to shop in-store?
NO LINES: There will be NO LINE outside this year! No camping out, sorry!
TIME SLOTS, RAFFLE & SHOPPING ONLINE: We did something new with the drops and offered shopping TIME SLOTS for a select number of lucky winners via our RAFFLE. The time slots are 30min each and will run from 8am to 12pm on August 29th. All winners were selected and contacted earlier this week and have been confirmed! In the event a spot opens up, we will reach out to the next person in line.
IMPORTANT: After all of our winners have made their purchases on Saturday and have left the store, the remaining RSD titles will be uploaded at 1pm to our webstore and will ONLY BE AVAILABLE ONLINE for the rest of the weekend. That means after 1pm there is no purchasing RSD titles in-store, no camping out, and no concentrated shopping areas. ALL ORDERs placed on August 29th through the webstore are available ONLY via CURBSIDE PICKUP. This is to reward, on the first day, our loyal and local customers that would have normally been waiting hours in line. Not to worry if you live out of town and still want to support, DOMESTIC SHIPPING will be offered starting Sunday, August 30th.
RAFFLE WINNERS: What you need to know!:

Winners, you should have received a RSD DROP 1 MENU in your confirmation email. Please be sure to fill out your RSD Drop 1 Menu in advance of arrival to ensure a smooth shopping experience for everyone. You will select and check mark all of the RSD titles on the menu that you're looking for and then hand your menu off to one of our staff members. OUR STAFF MEMBERs will pull your RSD titles for you! NO RSD TITLES will be on the floor for shopping.

Please bring a PHOTO ID and arrive NO SOONER than 10 mins before your assigned time slot. Anyone arriving earlier than that will be asked to return at their scheduled time. If you’re more than 10 minutes late for your scheduled time, you will lose your slot. The clock starts ticking on your time slot regardless of when you show up, so if you're 5 minutes late for instance, you'll only have 25 minutes to shop. Also, your assigned time slot is for ONLY YOU and NO ONE ELSE. Please don't expect to bring friends or family along for shopping in-store! Our time slots and store capacity is limited, so THEY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

COVID-19 Safety Protocol: face masks are required, social distancing and all other pandemic shopping policies will still be in place. Anyone who violates our policies will be subject to removal.

ONLINE SHOPPERS: What you need to know!:

ALL of our RSD Drop 1 stock will be uploaded to our webstore at 1pm on Saturday, August 29th.

ALL web orders on Saturday August, 29th will be available via Curbside Pickup ONLY, and starting midnight on Sunday August, 30th (Saturday leading into Sunday) we will make Domestic Shipping available site wide. After 12pm-noon Saturday there will be NO RSD Stock available to shop in-store. You will have to either order online or wait for a future date that we integrate the stock into our record bins.

If we are out of any titles you were looking for, please be sure to leave a list of the titles you are looking for in the "Notes Section" of your order! This way we can reach you in the event we receive restocks.
Are we able to reserve/hold RSD releases?
Sticking with the normal RSD protocol, ALL RSD releases are NOT permitted to be held/reserved in advance. All RSD releases are also limited to ONE PER CUSTOMER.
Aside from RSD Releases, will the rest of the store be open to shop?
Yes! Whether you are one of our raffle winners or not, ALL our normal stock will be available to shop. If you DID NOT WIN the raffle, you will have to wait until after 12pm Saturday to shop in-store.

CHANGESNOWBOWIE is a 9-track session recorded for radio and broadcast by the BBC on David’s 50th birthday on 8th January, 1997. The broadcast originally featured an interview with David by Mary Ann Hobbs interspersed with specially recorded birthday messages and questions from the likes of Scott Walker, Damon Albarn, Bono, Robert Smith and many more. The interview and birthday messages do not feature on this album. This mostly acoustic session was a stripped back affair featuring some of David’s favourites of his own compositions and was produced by Bowie himself, Reeves Gabrels and Mark Plati.

I’m Only Dancing - Taken from recently discovered sources in The David Bowie Archive®, I’m Only Dancing (The Soul Tour 74) was recorded mostly during David’s performance at the Michigan Palace, Detroit on 20th October, 1974, with the encores taken from the Municipal Auditorium, Nashville on 30th November, 1974.
The Soul Tour was a radical mid-tour departure from Bowie’s 1974 Diamond Dogs theatrical extravaganza. During a three week break in late 1974, the Diamond Dogs Tour’s elaborate six-ton Hunger City stage set was drastically stripped back, and the tour’s set list overhauled to include as-yet-unreleased tracks from the Young Americans sessions at Sigma Sound in Philadelphia. The Soul Tour also featured a revamped band, augmented to include musicians and vocalists from those sessions, and rechristened The Mike Garson Band.

To celebrate Record Store Day 2020 Pink Floyd release a live recording of the band’s first single, original singer and songwriter Syd Barrett’s best-known song, “Arnold Layne”. The limited-edition, one-sided Record Store Day 7” represents the last live performance of the song by Pink Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, all together in 2007. This special performance of “Arnold Layne” took place at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert at The Barbican on 10 May 2007, with Pink Floyd members augmented by Jon Carin on keyboards and vocals, and Andy Bell from Oasis on bass guitar. After a star-studded line-up throughout the evening, Pink Floyd took to the stage for an incredibly emotional finale. The B-side features an etching that echoes the sleeve and the song’s lyrics.

Originally released in 1996, June of 44’s second album is a long nautical mile from their debut, 1995’s Engine Takes To The Water. Recorded at Chicago Recording Studio and Idful Recording and produced by Bob Weston (Shellac, Mission of Burma), Tropics and Meridians is a collection of rhythmic phrases meant to be perfumed of whatever the listener would like them to be. The music veers from the subtly lilting and melodic to the fierce and abrasive, often with the space of a few bars. Rollicking on the high seas, but then slowing down to float on a glass-like waterbed, the band bring us their unique brand of the quiet storm, set to music of course.
Out of print since 2006, this RSD 2020 exclusive is pressed on glacial blue vinyl and limited to 2000 copies worldwide.
