Greetings! We are so excited to have you in San Antonio to attend the 15th Annual Professional School Counselor Conference, co-hosted with the Texas Counseling Association.

It's not too late. Bring your principal, assistant principal, superintendent, or deputy superintendent with you for free.
Checking in to the Conference

We're doing something new this year for conference attendees... New Badges & Electronic CE Scanning!

When you arrive, head to registration (Hemisfair C3) and check into the conference using one of the pre-registration kiosks. After you check in, your name and QR code will print, and you'll be ready to go!

The QR code on your name badge will be used to track your program attendance and we'll email you a CE certificate by 2/26/2020. You must be registered for the conference to receive a CE certificate.
IMPORTANT: Have your name badge scanned at every program you attend (including general sessions). If you leave a program to attend a different program in the same slot, be sure to have the facilitator scan you out. Only scan out of a program if you are switching programs in the same time slot.

If you haven't already, download the conference app to your smart device. You can also view it in your web browser. Use the app to build your schedule, connect with other attendees, and find exhibitors that meet your interests!

Get ready to play the app game to score points and the chance to receive a complimentary 2021 Professional School Counselor Conference registration! The game will start on Sunday at 1 pm.

Learn the ins and outs of our conference! Facilitating and volunteering are great ways to make connections and network.

If the online sign up is closed, you can always sign up on site! Just visit the booth in the registration area.

HINT: You'll be able to earn points towards the app game by facilitating/volunteering!

Take some time during the conference to check in with yourself and practice self-care. Visit the Wellness Room to color mandalas, check out sand trays, practice yoga, and meditate.

General Session with Debbie Silver

Debbie Silver will present Fall Down 7 Times, Get Up 8, explaining motivational theory and provides down-to-earth examples of concrete, applicable guidelines for helping students overcome setbacks and failure to foster lifelong success.

TEA Plenary Session
Monday | 4-5:30 pm | Hemisfair C1/C2
Meet the people and learn about the programs across TEA that impact your work as a professional school counselor. Earn CEs at this general session.

Networking Reception
Monday | 5:30-6:30 pm | Hemisfair C3
Meet up with friends, visit exhibitors, network with colleagues, and enjoy complimentary refreshments on Monday from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

General Session with Daniel and Jennifer Williamson
Tuesday | 10-11:30 am | Hemisfair C1/C2
Daniel and Jennifer Williamson will present Recognizing the Transformational Power of Purpose, showing us that we are part of something larger than ourselves and what we do had a long lasting effect on our students and communities.
Need more CEs?
It's not too late to add a Learning Institute (Sunday from 10:30 am - 5:30 pm) for $130 to your registration for 6.5 CEs! Come see us on site during Learning Institute registration hours.
Parking & Food


The Convention Center Parking garage at 850 E. Commerce (entrance on Bowie Street between Commerce and Market Streets) is the most centrally located between the Convention Center and hotels. Daily flat rate is $10 on weekdays and $15 on weekends (subject to change).

Limited parking is available on the south side of the convention center in Lots CSF 1 & 2. To access, follow Tower of the America’s Way south alongside the convention center and turn right at the first light onto Montana St.
Food Options

These food options are located inside the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center. 

Market Cafe
Main Lobby | 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Concession area located in the Main (East) Lobby. Items available include flat bread pizzas, assorted hot sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, assorted deli sandwiches and wraps, salad boxes, specialty market salads, hot soups, baked potatoes, build-your-own salad bar, chips, muffins, yogurt, candy, fruit, sodas, juices, bottled water, Starbucks freshly brewed coffee and specialty drinks.

Tower View Café
Under escalators by Room 216 | 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Small coffee and snack kiosk located across from meeting room 216 on the Meeting Room Level. Items available include sandwiches, salads, Starbucks freshly brewed coffee, sodas, bottled water, muffins, candy, and fruit.

The Broken Crust
Street Level near the West Lobby | 11 am - 2 pm (weather permitting)
Outdoor café and patio located off the hallway connecting the Main Lobby and West Lobby. If entering the Convention Center from Market St, head right from the Main Lobby. Items available will be made to order flatbread pizzas and beverages.
