iDay 23 Conference

Thank you to everyone that stopped by the stand to chat about FLEX on Monday at the iDay 23 conference at the National Motorcycle Museum. We had a great day catching up with everyone and secured new business at the same time 😃.

Orders: 'Post order to till'


Don't forget if you need to post an order to the till, that wasn't previously posted as part of the order confirmation process, you can access the option on the right-click menu in the orders screen.

Whether you choose to use our paid-for service OptiSave (£18.50+VAT per practice / per month) or simply back up your patient data yourself, please make sure you check your backups regularly.


The link below will take you to a knowledgebase document that explains how to take a manual backup, we recommend backing up your data every day to minimise data loss in the event of a disaster.


The OptiSave backup service transfers & stores practice data off-site, backups are tested weekly to ensure they are working - if there is a problem, a member of support will contact the practice to investigate. If you would like to know more about OptiSave please email sales@optinetuk.com.

Latest Patches: v1.5.7.29 /30

HPP indicates high-priority patches that are downloaded and installed automatically

MTS indicates patches that have been deployed to the 'Hosted FLEX' servers

REQ indicates a patch that will be loaded on request or when an issue is highlighted

  • #093: Sight Exam Record (MTS)
  • Fixes a bug where selecting Voucher A in the Sight Exam was not correctly ticking the Voucher Issued field - this corrects the use of the merge field TesNHSVoucherIssued.


  • #094: Word processor (MTS)
  • New merge fields for Right/Left Near/Inter Adds on previous sight exam records. (due to be added to MTS in the next few days)


  • #096: Word processor
  • Update to Contact lens recall date merge field - is now set correctly when the patient has no CL exam record.
