Take Advantage of Small Business Saturday
November 30th is the 10th annual Small Business Saturday . Why do I love this?

  1. It's easy to participate, and you can get materials customized for your business within minutes.
  2. It's an established event, so there's good momentum behind the message.
  3. Depending on your business, it can be a fun opportunity to partner up with other local companies to hold an event.

#GivingTuesday: December 3rd
Think #GivingTuesday is just for nonprofits? Think again!

First, if you are a nonprofit, you should absolutely be participating and using the #GivingTuesday narrative to gain momentum in your giving. (And start early!) Donations are good - and so is getting key donors to share their story to elevate your mission!

If you're NOT a nonprofit, here's your opportunity to get behind a charity of choice. #GivingTuesday is about donating financially, and also about donating your time and voice. There are a few great outcomes to this:

  1. You help a nonprofit get their word out.
  2. Your customers have another reason to get behind your business.
  3. Your charity of choice could win up to $10,000 if you share #MyGivingStory!

Use Holidays - Both National and Obscure - to Market Your Business
Small Business Trends has compiled a list of ideas about leveraging holidays, through things like events, monthly themes and promotions. And, they've included a helpful list of holidays to get you started.
