The Tennessee Senate passed the Heartbeat Bill on Friday by a 23-5 vote and Governor Bill Lee has promised to sign it, making Tennessee the tenth state to pass the law to ensure that "if a heartbeat is detected, the baby's protected." Like Ohio, Louisiana, Mississippi and Missouri, Tennessee had no rape/incest exception to take the lives of children with beating hearts because of the crime of their father.

The bill was also amended to require that abortion facilities post a sign in the waiting rooms to inform mothers that it may be possible to reverse a chemical abortion, imposing a $10,000 fine if they fail to do so.

Faith2Action President Janet Porter, the architect of the Heartbeat Bill applauded the victory stating, " When the ACLU files their promised lawsuit, it will launch the Heartbeat Law through the courts to pierce the heart of Roe v. Wade and deliver the fatal blow to abortion on demand. "

“When we one day (hopefully soon) look back on what I pray will be the end of the scourge of abortion on our civilization, there will be a short roster of the key people who led the efforts to stop the insanity of killing unborn babies. That list will surely include Janet Porter, whose long-time leadership in the pro-life world was made most prominent when she launched the effort for the Heartbeat Bill in Ohio and in numerous other states. Her fight was not only against the usual suspects of Planned Parenthood and the far left who have made the killing of a baby a religious ritual, but she was even opposed by other elements in the pro-life movement that have never made sense to me and still don’t.  I consider Janet Porter one of the most important figures in our culture today. You will too!

“ Janet Porter is the William Wiberforce of our time. I do not know of anyone more relentless and resolute in their cause, or with a more important cause for America at this time. In Scripture the "shedding of innocent blood" brings a curse upon the land. What could be more innocent than a child that has not yet been born? God has raised up a great champion in Janet for the most helpless and innocent among us, and I have no doubt that The Heartbeat Bill will soon be the celebrated law of the land. This powerful book will be oxygen for the fire that is now burning to rid our country of this scourge of death , and help us to esteem all life as the great treasure that it is."
-Rick Joyner, Chairman The Oak Initiative, Founder & President MorningStar Ministries
"Janet Porter’s A Heartbeat Away is an inspirational history of the greatest defensive weapon envisioned so far for protecting lives of the unborn , while at the same time it can be a “how to” book on getting harmful laws changed for the sake of our nation..."
-Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-01)

"... Janet's book not only forcefully--and colorfully--details the battles already fought, but also serves as a useful guidebook for the battles to come ...When the killing of babies in the womb is not only illegal in this country, but unthinkable, Janet will be among those most to be thanked.”
-Abby Johnson, Author of Unplanned

Finally, a strategy for victory in the battle for life. Read A Heartbeat Away and enlist in the Special Forces who will bring the killing to an end.”

-General Jerry Boykin
After decades of looking for answers, what we needed was to listen for one. The child in the womb is sending a signal. Each beat of their heart is a sign of life, a cry for help--an SOS we can no longer ignore. To deny their heartbeat is to deny science.

This book provides what the pro-life movement has been missing: a clear path to victory . A monumental cultural shift began with a simple bill to ensure "if a heartbeat is detected, the baby is protected." Heartbeat Bills have been introduced in twenty-nine states and passed in TEN (and counting): TENNESSEE (JUNE, 2020) , Arkansas and North Dakota (2013), Iowa (2018), Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia, Missouri, Louisiana, and Ohio where it all began (2019).

Help us ensure more victories!
