Court Cancelations and Edits

It Matters to Us!

Currently, you must contact the club to cancel or edit your court booking. As member feedback is important to us, effective immediately, you can now make changes or cancel your court bookings directly through your member account.

Non-prime time bookings can be edited or cancelled up to 3hr before playing time. Any changes made to the bookings within a 3hr period of play will need to be made through the club staff and may result in a $5 late cancellation/edit fee.

Prime time bookings can be edited or cancelled up to 24hr before playing time. Any changes made to the bookings within a 24hr period of play will result in an automatic $5 late cancellation/edit fee.

We do however, realize that some last minute changes are unavoidable and so, you will be allowed to make 3 "free" changes for the balance of the 2022 season.

We are introducing these changes for your convenience and to ensure that our PRIME TIME courts are accessible to all members.

Ron Pegg

Meet the amazing Ron Pegg. Ron is only weeks shy of his 91st birthday!!!!!!! Ron has been a staple and a regular on the Credit Valley tennis courts for many years. You can find Ron with his tennis bag over both shoulders, as a back pack, keeping up with much younger players on the daily. Although, Ron has seen many players come and go through Credit Valley Tennis Club, he comes out day after day with a big bright smile on his face. Ron is a pleasure to be around and we want to wish him a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We hope that he can continue to dominate on the courts of Credit Valley Tennis Club for many years to come. HAPPY B-DAY RON!

Michael Arthur

A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Michael who took part in his 1st ever ITF Tournamnet and managed to captured the 50+ singles title. On his way to the victory, he took out the # 7, #5, #1 and #3 seeds in the tournament. He survived three gruelling 3 set matches including a 3.5 hr match agains Credit Valley's own #1 seed of the tournament and #1 player in Canada, Dan DeAngelis. Believe it or not, Michael does not play winter tennis as he is busy coaching and toting his daughter, who plays Rep hockey, from arena to arena. Keep an eye out, in our parking lot, for a yellow convertible as bright as Michael's shirt and smile in the picture.

Question of the Week

Which Grand Slam is the oldest? Your answers were:
5% said Australian Open
10% said French Open
85% said Wimbledon
0% said U.S. Open

Wimbledon is the oldest grand slam. It was founded in 1877. Believe it or not, the U.S. Open is the 2nd oldest, founded only 4 years later in 1881. Then followed the French Open in 1891 and finally, the Australian Open in 1905. However, it wasn't until 1925 that all four tournaments were held as officially sanctioned majors.

Joke of the Week

Yesterday,  my tennis opponent was not very happy with my serve.

He kept returning it.
