Thank you Lakeville businesses!

Pan-O-Prog was started by the Lakeville business community nearly 60 years ago! Today the festival is going AND GROWING strong thanks to the continued generous support of our local businesses. Check out the festival magazine to see all of the local businesses who make this one of the top community festivals in the state…nation…world?! Ok, I may be biased, but that does not mean I am not right!

Reminder, deadline Aug 8

TESTIMONIAL: “Thank you to the Chamber for sending fun gift bags for the Back-to-School kick-off day. When I got home, I dumped the bag out on the table like it was Halloween, and I had fun making a great kit for local trivia nights with pens, notepads, and even hand sanitizer in a cute new case. What a lot of businesses in Lakeville! I look forward to tubing this winter with the free passes, and then likely using one of the chiropractor or health center invites where I can use the other notepads and pens to doodle while I wait to be repaired. Thanks for making life fun and supporting LAS all year!”

We are soooo excited!

Some members of the City and Chamber joined Dakota Electric Association to break ground on their brand new facility here in Lakeville! They will be located on 225th street, just east of Cedar, down by Airlake Airport. Dakota Electric has been a long-time supporter of our local business community and the Chamber. They sponsor events, serve on boards and committees, donate to raffles/auctions and were one of our founding donors of the Lakeville Works program (and still a donor!) – to name just a few things. We cannot wait to welcome their staff, cut the ribbon and tour this gorgeous new facility!

Congrats on the new space!

Congratulations to the team at Frandsen Bank & Trust on the remodel and re-configuration of their Apple Valley/ Rosemount/Lakeville (IYKYK) branch office! Members from the chambers of Apple Valley, Dakota County Regional and Lakeville were on hand to celebrate, tour the space and enjoy some food and treats. Frandsen Bank is one of our Visionary Donors and continues to support Lakeville with their time, talent and treasure. They will be hosting the annual Ping Pong Drop & Youth Play Day again this year at Pan-O-Prog. Bring the kiddos out for a morning of fun!

Good Work Lakeville!

Thank you to Lakeville Works Visionary donor Schmitty & Sons for your support of the program! If you have a passion for workforce development, check out what we have been up to and reach out to me on ways to participate!

LaserMama

Our Chamber Ambassadors give back so much of their time and talent to the Chamber and our business community. They attend events, write thank you notes, deliver membership and anniversary plaques, and more. Throughout the year we will highlight their businesses. Make sure and say HI when you see them around! Our first business is…

Name: Kristy Groh

Title: Business Owner

Business: LaserMama

How long have you been in business: Since 2020

What inspired you to start your business?

I was inspired to start LaserMama out of a simple desire to create. Laser engraving seemed like a skill I could learn, and once I dove in, I quickly discovered there’s much more to it than I expected—precision, technique, and a whole lot of trial and error. Add to that the challenges of running a small business, and it’s been quite the journey! But the flexibility, the creative outlet, and the pride that comes from filling a need in the community have made it incredibly fulfilling.

What’s your favorite product to work on?

I love engraving leatherette products. They have the sophisticated look of real leather without the hefty price tag. The way they react to the laser creates an elegant, high-contrast finish that’s both clean and professional. With so many different products available in leatherette now, it’s become a staple in my offerings.

Do you have any promotions or events you’d like to share?

No special promotions or events at this time.

What do you love most about serving your customers?

I take pride in delivering products my clients can feel great about giving—whether it’s to a customer, a prospect, or a team member. I work with a wide network of top-tier wholesalers, which means I have access to incredible products. More importantly, I stand behind everything I create. My clients know I’m committed to doing things right, and that means they can always expect a high level of integrity when they place an order.

What’s the most rewarding part of owning your business?

Hands down, the flexibility. I love being able to make decisions that align with where I want the business to go—and what fills my cup. Whether it’s trying something new or taking time off to spend with family and friends, that freedom is everything. There’s also a deep sense of pride that comes from serving the community and doing it well.

Fun fact about your business:

I do more than just laser engraving! While I engrave products in my home studio, I also offer dye sublimation and heat transfers for clothing and hats. Plus, I work closely with trusted partners to provide embroidery and full-color printing. The possibilities really are endless!

How can people connect with you?

The best place to connect is through my website: www.lasermama.com.

What has your experience with the Lakeville Chamber been like?

I’ve been a member of the Lakeville Chamber for four years now, and I can honestly say the networking opportunities are only limited by the time you can give. The Chamber has been a steady guide for me, especially during those early stages when I wasn’t quite sure of my next steps. They’ve played a huge role in helping my business grow by keeping my name out in the community and keeping me informed of events and opportunities that align with my goals. I’m so grateful for this amazing group of leaders who are truly committed to supporting local businesses and growing our Lakeville community.
