We’re Hiring: Community Consultant (Sport, Culture & Recreation Champion)

Are you a community builder at heart? Do you believe in the power of sport, culture, and recreation to bring people together? Do you know your way around a grant application like a boss and have a knack for turning ideas into action? Then you might be our next Community Consultant!


The Lakeland District for Sport, Culture and Recreation (LDSCR) is looking for someone dynamic, dedicated, and passionate to help strengthen and support the amazing communities across our region.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Acting as the go-to person for community groups, rec boards, and local legends who make things happen.
  • Connecting communities with provincial sport, culture, and recreation opportunities.
  • Helping local groups dream big (and find the funding to make it real).
  • Supporting programs that reflect what people actually need and want.
  • Running consultations, building partnerships, and championing volunteerism.
  • Promoting events and programs like a marketing wizard (social media skills welcome).
  • Keeping your finger on the pulse of community needs—then helping turn those needs into awesome initiatives.

The Coaching Association of Canada presents the Coach of the Year Award in recognition of the outstanding achievements of a coach in Canada, both for the sport performances of their athlete(s) or team in the previous competitive season and for exhibiting excellence in sport values.

Free Regional Park Pass Program Returns this Summer!



The Regional Park Pass Lending Program is back in 2025!


From June 16 to September 15, 2025, people with a valid library card can borrow a pass from any Saskatchewan library and enjoy a seven-day loan period with free access to nearly 100 regional parks across the province.


This year, 864 passes will be distributed to all regional library branches, libraries in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, and university libraries in Saskatoon and Regina.

Examining the state of Truth and Reconciliation in Saskatchewan


The Office of the Treaty Commissioner is looking for your feedback as we explore the state of Truth and Reconciliation in Saskatchewan communities.


The OTC's mandate is to help strengthen Treaty relations in Saskatchewan among Treaty partners by creating common understanding on the Spirit and Intent of Treaty.

Farewell & Thank You, Jordan Wall!

After two years of dedicated leadership, Jordan Wall is stepping down as SARP's Executive Director at the end of August to pursue a new opportunity.


Jordan has been instrumental in stewarding our organization into a stronger position. He strengthened partnerships, led successful member events and initiatives, and played a key role in shaping our new strategic plan—laying the groundwork to turn our vision into reality.


Thank you, Jordan, for your commitment to Saskatchewan's recreation professionals. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!

The Axis of Access: Lunch, Launch, and Learn

Join Listen to Dis' Community Art Organization and the Saskatchewan Arts Alliance for the launch of the Axis of Access document, which is an entry point for learning about accessibility in Saskatchewan arts sector. The event takes place on September 19, and will include a community conversation, snapshot performance by Listen to Dis' music ensemble, and the Dripping Honeys. PHCD is designed for recreation and sport leaders working with children aged four to twelve. Through this, you will learn how to develop and deliver programs that are fun, engaging, and encourage long term participation in recreation and sport programs.
